As I have been saying since they traded for Lance....there is something to Dak being traded or not continuing with Dallas.

Teams don't make moves like Lance without a plan for them.

I said the same when the Eagles drafted Hurts.

As long as they get a good haul for him, I am fine with it. They have botched his contract so bad there is no way to make it affordable going forward for any period of time.
Well said.

And w/ the no trade clause, they put all the peaches in his basket.

There won't be success after Dak is gone, because Jerry and Stephen will be here.

It's almost like the almost 20 years of the franchise doing nothing before Dak got here didn't happen.
So if we're unsuccessful with or without Dak because of Jerry/Stephen surely you'd advocate moving on from Dak, failing and forcing the Iones' to employ a GM who's got full autonomy ....or near full, as Jerry would want his 'directional say' (which I'd assume all owners have).

I dont see him getting traded and I expect him to be signed before the season starts. For sure wouldnt expect that kind of haul. I think half that haul would be more likely but don't see it.

The most sense I can make of it is an insurance policy if Dak was/is lost for the season, this past season or the upcoming one. They can at least try to develop an asset in Lance rather than play out the string with Rush.

It doesn’t provide leverage in Dak negotiations, but they at least have a younger option (he is three months older than Bo Nix) already in house should they not get Dak signed, but then again, if they don’t bring back MM, he has to learn yet another offense.

yep, a lifetime backup with a Lolipop arm was easier to carry than the superstar dak. LMAO, nobody said he should be our starter. wow, just wow......your blind love is impressive, and your reading comprehension is lacking.
Hey, didn't you know that poster invented football. Now go learn football yourself, bruh.

I love those kinds of statements. If someone has a different opinion than him, you don't know football like I do. lmao

It’s funny I’ve watched you reference how much football you “know” about 5 different times as a flex on other posters. You’re a 55 year old dude, that’s embarrassing. You think this jeopardy? It’s obvious you can’t debate as your default is to claim some big brain master football knowledge while pounding way on your phone. People like you are hilarious. Grow up.
lol...I just posted something similar before reading this post. Hey, the dude invented football, don't you know, bruh?

Ok as much as I hate to defend the FO of this circus, a lot of the pro-Dak crowd love to point out we have been 12-5 the past 3 seasons as a way of propping up the "success" we've had with Dak. However, they assembled the coaches, scouts, and players that went 12-5 and produced 9 All-Pros last year. What they didn't do, is go out there and look lost, dazed, confused and scared against the Niners, Niners, and the 7th seed Packers at home. That was all Dak. He chokes...every time for the past 3 years. Now, you can blame them for signing Dak to a stupid contract, and you can blame them again for extending him if they do, but ultimately, Dak is the one player consistently losing the plot every year in the playoffs..
Yet, Kurt Warner and Cole Beasley proved your false Dak accusations wrong.

Stop lying, dude. Damn.

Post June 1 is still an option.

The cap hit is the same as a post June 1 trade.

But Jerry wants a trade + picks.

This could go on for months.

But I doubt Dak takes another practice snap for us.

Why would Dak want to go to the Raiders?

I think Dak has enough of Al Davis.
Dak doesn’t have the leverage to block a trade to LV.

Jerry has the Post June 1 card.

It’s all about the draft picks LV is willing to give up.

I doubt anyone at LV leaked the news of trade talks for Dak.

Had to be someone in Daks camp.

Maybe his agent trying to get leverage.

Or someone at the Star who just loves to talk.

So you just want to continually exit in the 1st round of the playoffs? You want to win enough games to be moved out of the top picks in the 1st? Get guys who are decent, but not good enough to really put this team over the top? Continue paying a QB so much you can't sign any FA's? That's life with Dak. I'll take some crappy seasons if that's what it takes to rebuild this team.
It is not life with Dak. It is life GM Jethro. We have plenty of cap space.

A trade solves many problems for Dallas.

The draft picks gained would almost equal the HWalker trade.

It solves very little for Dak. No reason for him to make that decision. That was the entire point of why France wanted the no trade clause to begin with.

He doesn’t get a say.

Jerry can always cut Dak. Dak Would lose his 2024 base. $29Million.

Anyway, it’s the same cap hit as a trade.

We gain draft picks in the trade though.

But we will take the cap room from the cut or the trade.
