This offseason wasn't all about the Jones inactivity, and yes we all know the recent history and reputation, but more so this offseason for a reason.

Hard to tell if Schefter is pulling this out of thin air or if he knows/heard something.............I will say this, not many team would allow rumors floating about their franchise QB w/o addressing/shutting them down. I mean can you imagine such rumors about Hurts, Burrow, Maholmes, Allen etc.?
This is why it makes me wonder if this bridge is already burned and just a matter of when. The damage may be too much to overcome....

4th round pick is backup QB territory. Dak was the exception, not the rule.

True, Jerry can afford to look smart, stupid, or anything else in between. If he thinks he has a plan, he's gonna go with it regardless.
It seems to me it's quite possible there's more to this "all in" thing. That's not a prediction, it just means Jerry never tells the whole story up front. Naturally we always try to guess what he's up to, but I guess we'll see in due time.

I’m not up in arms. I’m just acknowledging that it happened. I just can’t see this franchise being stealth and pulling off a huge trade with their franchise QB and then making a move to trade up in the top 10 of the draft to take QB. I don’t see them drafting a QB in this draft period. They have to many other holes to fill to “contend” next year.

They don't have to contend this year just to try for a QB. Just saying anything is possible, Not likely, but possible.
