The media is all the same and that includes most of the YouTubers. Give Dak 60 mil per year, Make Mica the highest paid defensive player inNFL history, Make CD the highest paid receiver ever. And keep every player on the roster plus grab some top FA’s. Lol. Something’s gotta give.

These guys get paid for this? No wonder ESPN and the other media outlets are having to let people go. We get better insights from people on YouTube.
Right or wrong.
RGIII doesnt know anymore about being a GM than anyone on the entire CowboysZone.
Just an opinion

But again, who knows, maybe he is right....like others here.
Bling squirel kind of thing
Even knowing the history of the FO's slow roll in participating in FA for the quality players available (l first week) - coupled with the significant departures of starters and contributors during the team's three consecutive 12-5 seasons - many CZers have been up in arms about the not changing their approach to stepping up to mitigate the drain.
Yet - when the sports media calls attention to the situation -- they get railed on by some members here.

Coulda been a lot worse.
They coulda mortgaged the future so that Dak could put up better numbers in his contract year and get a bigger salary elsewhere next year.

So I agree it hasn’t been good. For me the special teams draft is an all time low point. There are a couple of positives this offseason. Zimmer. Not giving Dak a ridiculous contract. Btw, RG3 was a washout bust of a QB. What makes him a good analyst besides the suits and his Baylor career? Who cares what he says. Guy is a clown.

People obviously take RB3 seriously he has 2M followers. Can’t disagree with anything he said in that video.

yea no crap

but there is still cowboys fan defending it

make no sense to me
The only way I can defend it is to assume that Jerry is not doing the same things and expecting different results. In the past he would have resigned both Biadasz and Smith. Rayne and Ceedee would have new contracts and it would be business as usual.........and by that I mean, more playoff failure.

These moves are showing me that the loss to the Packers really hit Jerry harder than in past seasons. He finally recognizes that Dak will NEVER take this team to a Championship, the roster hit its ceiling and continuing to feed the fattest cats isn't working.

If anybody here has a better theory, I'd love to hear it......

These are the steps to take

1. Hire a real GM who's word is final. ( I know, I laughed while typing it)
2. HIre a HC that turns camp cupcake into "Camp Consequences "
3. Put a premium back on the QB position and stop looking for 4th round or worse QB alternatives and draft them more BEFORE you need another one.
4. The owner needs to SHUTTY and stop writing checks with his mouth that the team can't cash.

Jerry can literally do all of these things that other owners are ALREADY DOING!!!!

That was one of the worst moves ever made by Jerry.

I think that's a good point. Holding out on Dak has been the best part of this offseason.

If we end up extending Dak in training camp, then I will say this is the worst offseason in the history of the NFL. For now, it's just tanking, which at least means Jerry finally has a plan. Which must mean big things will happen in 2025 because he'll have to recoup the jersey sales.

RGwho?

I don't get this implicit high regard for people who've never been tasked with player evaluation in their lives, and alternatively, who once were, but now, are several years removed from having such widespread respect that they'd be considered for any such position today.

Depends on your perspective. If you’re Stephen Jones looking long term, not signing overpriced FAs and cleaning up some of your mess from the last few years is probably a good plan. If you’re Mike McCarthy trying to build a roster this season to keep a job, probably not so good.

I'm liking this offseason, Jerry deserves all the credit and is doing a fantastic job. I mean, the man is in the HOF and has built the Cowboys into his empire. This just might be the season the Cowboy win it all.
