Dak fans are saving this excuse for their QB. You aren’t allowed to use it, as they called shot-gun right after Dak choked against GB
Nah, I think D line is excuse enough and it has only gotten tremendously worse in the off-season.

No worries, we will fix it in the draft and Mazi is going to play much better.

He needs to be working on his quarterback skills. We know he can run but can he throw?

Much worse??? Hankins didnt help . Our run d was terrible against decent teams.... so not keeping Hankins is really no loss IMO.

Hankins did not help and he was our best run defender. Keeping Hankins for $2M was not going to hurt us.

I was never in favor of leaving Dak in over Romo... but Dak wont how many games in a row? Had Lance won like 85% of his games when he was injured, he would have never lost his job.
I could never understand why most fans weren’t in favor of leaving Dak in when we were in the middle of a franchise record 11 straight wins. Dak was playing great and the team was looking like a strong SB contender but many fans still wanted to go back to where we had already been with Romo. It really never made a lot of sense to me why anyone would want to bench a real hot hand for an aging beat up QB who had never taken the Cowboys on a deep playoff run. It was almost like some fans would have rather lost with Romo than win with Dak. The fan base never liked Dak from day one and it’s hard to figure out why. I do know a lot of the Romo lovers hated Dak for taking Romo’s job and getting him released.

1) Starting QBs aren’t supposed to lose their job due to injury. They are supposed to be replaced by better play.
2) Romo suffered a freak injury, was medically cleared to play by the doctors, and was in his best health in the past five years. If he suffered another freak injury or played poorly, the team could always go back to Dak.
3) Romo was clearly the better QB in practice as Barry Church and others testified to.
4) Dak did not win a QB competition in camp nor in practice. It was not allowed by dumb and dumber due to 4.
5) No rookie QB had ever taken a team to the SB.
6) You don’t make football decisions based on chemistry, a hot hand (which are for sports like basketball in the game, not football between games), or the superstition of messing up a win streak, which ultimately always come to an end.
7) Dak fell into a talented team situation where it was never clear that the victories were due to his play at a superior QB level (and that Romo couldn’t do the same) as opposed to just driving the bus. In games against the Minnesota Vikings and the second Giants game, he was mediocre, if that.

Those are just some of the things I came up with off the top of my head. I’m sure others could come up with more.

I know, anytime someone has a say about Dak, well what about Romo? Deflection is a mental condition when someone has no answer to what they are wanting to hear.
Its bad when that's all they got, Please don't compare Dak to rookie qb's. Please compare him to QB's around the league past their 2 contract.
