Great Draft. Why?

Dallas probably got three starters out of this draft.

Guyton LT

Beebe, this years center, future RG

Kneeland, this year rotational DE with Williams allowing Parsons to lineup anywhere. And Lawrence's future replacement.

Two starters is a good draft, if Dallas gets three it's a great class.
The LB, CB and DT will get some playing time as well.

And the Cb we took seriously looks like starter quality.

Isn’t their very first pick known for his athleticism and pass blocking and not the toughness you posted about? I don’t know the player but just read 3 straight profiles on him needing to be stronger, and having trouble getting under pad level to drive block in the run game. Is he known for toughness?
All 3. Read about him!!!!!

It's so ridiculous. Do these guys not remember our defense getting completely dominated by GB's run game and getting destroyed by SF? We have a LOT of work to do and we didn't address the glaring problem of being undersized on the D Line. THAT'S where we need to get tougher.
Is it? We just drafted 4 players known for toughness and attitude. How is that ridiculous?

Agree about the DLine.

Moronic to call any draft class GREAT before they take their first snap in a regular season game
Even more moronic is taking things out of context. You're using "GREAT" in a different sense than I am.

Because we drafted for toughness, we drafted football players as opposed to some dude who runs fast in his underoos.

We have needed toughness and attitude for a long long time now. Hey, who knows which players will turn out, that's all conjecture, of course.

However, here's what we do know: We just got a lot tougher and a lot meaner. And that was sorely needed. I give us an A just for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My question is why did it take this long to draft tougher, meaner players? We've been sawft forever.

Because Jerry finally relented and hired Zimmer(and possibly Jimmy) and gave up some power in the draft. This draft looks eerily like a Tuna draft. No flash, but lotsa Hosses.

Yep, the rusty turnstile in the middle of the defensive line is still there. I fully expect another season of watching running backs burst up the middle and run over our linebackers.

Hope the entitled culture does not change their attitudes.

I think the Jimmy stuff is wishful thinking and am suprised Zimmer has that much influence. In any even its been obvious a long damn time.

I give it an F because they didn’t draft Trotter, Jr. I wanted him just to see his dad’s reaction. Similarly, I’m all for signing Zeke if for no other reason than seeing a certain Zoner ho apoplectic.
How long did you think about coming up with this post?

Usually the description of tough and good attitude is used when there is nothing else good to say about the player. Is there a single team in the NFL that didn’t get some tough guys in the draft?

Great don't mean crap in any way until they show it on the field; try and futz it all you want but that is the way it is

You are right. We should just trust the Cowboys board. The greatness of the last 30 years has been unprecedented.
Point is that that is what they were using. One thing that all claim is written on stone by the finger of whatever Deity you want that you ALWAYS follow your board

What are you basing this claim of toughness on? Not one of these guys has played a down of football in a Cowboys uniform.
Agree. It's all just speculation and hopium. If this team makes the playoffs... it will be a monumental accomplishment. Coach 'em up MM.

Because those picks - all of which I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to - don't address the glaring problem on defense where toughness is concerned.....being tough up front .
