It doesn't matter.

As long as Jerry has an open door policy for player grievances, and calls the shots on who starts and sits based on contracts, and picks the coordinators, then it doesn't matter who the coach is.

They are castrated upon entrance.

Of course it matters. Let Jerry babysit the players if he wants.. that's one less thing the head coach has to do. Ben Johnson needs to come in here and fix this offense. It matters

i dont "worry" about it...im at a point where i dont want to waste emotional energy on this team.

However, i do think i could get excited if we got a new offensive play caller in the mix...someone younger and more dynamic....one can hope right?

Amen.

It's shocking to me the number of people who keep clamouring to fire MM. Why? It's just so irrelevant. Plus, MM is our best HC since Tuna. No, that's not saying a lot, but who in hades are people thinking will be better? MM has done a good job of working under Jerry's radioactive umbrella.

You're entitled to think that but there's 30 years of evidence against it.
Other teams haven't won in that same amount of time. Nobody blames it on their teams' owner. Of course Jerry deserves some blame but to act like we can't win because of Jerry is weak.

Huh? You think Ben Johnson would come here? Explain to me exactly why you think that.
Because this a great job. The best available job on the market ... by a mile.. this is the DALLAS COWBOYS. We have a QB. We're set up to win now. This isn't a full rebuild. We have pieces. Evidenced by a half decent record last year. And that was without our QB.

Johnson isn't coming here. He has his pick of where he wants to go and he isn't going to start his coaching career coaching for dumb and dumber. The last coach to have success here was Jimmy and yes I'm ignoring Barry.

This is a terrible job. An owner/GM who hamstrings everything you do. Any HC who comes in will want control, and that is not given here.

Well you say it like this, we might as well just hire someone that's already here!! Luna Wells lol you're the coach lol

It is all a shell game....and the Jones family is darn good at it. I just hope more and more people see thru it.

It won't matter though. This franchise isn't winning again in Jerry and Stephen's timeline.

Same goes for a GM.

If Jerry hired a GM tomorrow it wouldn’t matter one bit. He’d still control everything that happens.
