If Dak is playable and on the field, he produces

What we have here is undeserved loyalty and stubbornness. CCBoy, you're a good egg as a Cowboys fan. Over the years I have enjoyed your posts and displays of great fandom for the Cowboys. I truly appreciate you. However, it's time to see Dak for what he is and not what you wish him to be.

In a decade as our QB1, Dak should have something to show for it. A conference championship, an MVP award, something to distinguish him as having the ability to match the expectations for which he was drafted. That hasn't happened and the excuses I see you making for him just don't fill the deficit left in the wake of disappointment. Wake up buddy, Dak is done.
Dak looks to me like he doesn't want to make the playoffs. He was so bad in that GB game he is mentally broken.

You really betting on that way out of being a man? He has pride and by now, hates not doing or being all he can be.

His job is actually to have a strategy.
You are so full of it.

He is to organize his team, but team directions are brought to him. He is not handcuffed by having someone else telling him instead, how to run his organization. You Sir, are a spoiled fan that instead shares resentment and forces a present view based on winning it all even as it rebuilds yearly. Thanks for nothing here.

You are crying on a support Dak thread...and say nothing about him. Only yourself!

It is not a support Dak anything. The exact same thing happened to Romo. Jerry does not hire the best coaches, he does not sign legit FA's and he is forced to draft for need more often than not over best player available. He intentionally, pretends like we have no money to spend, and waits for no reason to over pay his talented players.

He is by far the worst GM in football and it is only getting worse as he gets older.

We go back to 2016, the year after that exact backup quarterback calamity struck a Cowboys team that was returning after being a Dez Bryant "catch-no catch" play away in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from advancing to the 2014 NFC Championship Game, where they would have faced a Seattle team the 12-4 Cowboys had already beaten earlier in the season, 30-23, and in Seattle at that.

Cry baby acting...put your favorite item of fandom away. The 30 year calendar.

Romo in the third preseason game suffers a compression fracture of the L1 vertebrae, and just like that became the arrival of the Cowboys' current starting quarterback Prescott going into his now 10th NFL season. Romo's career was over, the rookie that year winning 11 straight and leading the team into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed at 13-3.

Both Tony Romo and then Dak Prescott came from about nowhere and both succeeded at a very strong level for the Cowboys.

No, it wasn't just all doom and gloom being projected by much of this current board. No, it isn't now just insult and move on.

2016 saw both Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott drafted.

There was a rule change that occurred when those very Cowboys, led by a 'rook.' should have been in the NFC Championship Game...not because Prescott was so inept!!

Dallas Cowboys record while Dak Prescott has been it's starting QB

2016 12-5
2017 9-7 * Dallas didn't make the playoffs for the 6th time in 8 seasons
2018 10-6
2019 8-8
2020 6-10 * injury season for Dak
2021 12-5
2022 12-5
2023 12-5
2024 7-10 * injury season for Dak

Cowboys record with Prescott was 93-71

All but in 2017, if Dak wasn't injured, the Cowboys made the playoffs.

No, Dak is a proven and strong asset for Dallas. Game changes have been the devil not seen.

2016 teams thought Prescott was some big strong QB and were playing back while Beasley was catching 2 yard passes and running for 10. In the playoff game against GB Dak played against the 31st ranked pass defense.
2017 Dak got pantsed against Denver and that was the formula that set the tone.
2018 Nice weak schedule and Dak gets a playoff win thanks to Zeke 142 all purpose yds carrying the team. Dak was choking so bad trying to hold onto the lead he built. The Rams shut Dak down after the opening drive and the defense was worn down because Dak going 3 and out.
2019 Dak was Dak and they went 8-8
2020 Dak was on fire against some garbage teams and some fools believed he was going to break Mannings single season passing record. Lol
2021
Parsons was drafted and elevated the Cowboys from an 8-8 team to 12-5. But it wasn't enough because Daks choking big-time against SF
2022 S/A 2021
2023 S/A 2021
2024 Dak completely folds mentally and GB just destroyed Dallas beating them into submission. ( This was supposed to be a measuring stick playoff game to decide on giving Dak a new contract.)
Dak has performed decent in the regular season but like garbage in the post season. It was time to let him go but Jerry was so afraid of change.

Dallas won 13 and were cheated out of the 14th by the officials and that would have put them in the NFC Championship against who they had already beaten.

As to Parsons, how many times was he even the sack leader or show up in playoff games?

I don't really care how much you try and tell me the Pope is Jewish!

Now run along and belly bump your good buddies...

This is called a lame duck:

If Dak was not injured, Dallas made the playoffs every season except for 2017 and 2019. In 2019 they had 10 wins although.

Let’s compare Dak Prescott’s career with that of some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL since 2016 and see if the bad press is warranted. The list of quarterbacks chosen will be from the top five active quarterbacks in win totals since 2016.

Dak Prescott vs. Patrick Mahomes

In his eight seasons, Mahomes has 5,530 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 66.8%. He has thrown for 38,168 yards, 291 touchdowns, and 84 interceptions.

In his nine seasons, Prescott has 4,925 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 66.7%. He has thrown for 33,398 yards, 227 touchdowns, and 89 interceptions.

Dak Prescott vs. Lamar Jackson

Since 2018, Lamar Jackson has had 3,377 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 64.5%. He has thrown for 21,812 yards, 176 touchdowns, and 56 interceptions.

Since 2018, Dak Prescott has had 3,817 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 67.1%. He has thrown for 26,105 yards, 179 touchdowns, and 71 interceptions.

Dak Prescott vs. Josh Allen

Since 2018, Josh Allen has had 4,671 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 63.6%. He has thrown for 29,794 yards, 220 touchdowns, and 88 interceptions.

Since 2018, Dak Prescott has had 3,817 dropbacks and a completion percentage of 67.1%. He has thrown for 26,105 yards, 179 touchdowns, and 71 interceptions.

Well it's good that he didn't make the playoffs because he would of been embarrassed that many more times.
He's a choker!

You are blaming him for team game changers missing.

A choker is a round ornament worn around a woman's neck.

Regardless his record is pretty good, but Im not sure where 93-71 is coming from? Dak has only played in 122 NFL games. My only pushback on this is that the Dak injury years really didn't derail those seasons. In 2024 Dak was 3-5 before injury. Cooper Rush went 4-4. Cooper Rush also went 1-0 in 2021 and 4-1 in 2022. In 2020 the Cowboys were 2-3 under Dak before injury. Andy Dalton went 4-5.

For the most part Dak being out has had a minimal impact on the team. Now I'm not saying that Dak hasn't been the best QB on the roster, I certainly think he has but the last several years when the Cowboys have had a capable backups playing the teams record has been in line with what Dak was able to do from a W/L standpoint. There are certain games (2023 seattle is a perfect example) where Dak has shown up and the Cowboys probably dont win without him, but in general a good Cowboy team wins a lot of games regardless of the QB, while bad Cowboy teams like 2020 and 2024 lose regardless of who is under center.
