Eagles Cam Jurgens

Dallas Tyler Smith

The Eagles have signed their Pro Bowl center to a deal before he gets to the end of his current one, and is likely saving significant money as compared to Dallas, who will pick up the 5th year option at more than what Jurgens will average on his deal....then wait for the 5th year to be over before negotiating a new deal, which will cost much more 2 years from now. It's pure idiocy and incompetence.

Wait until the usual suspects come here and say "well the player has to want to sign early." Its not the front office's fault!

They're also looking to trade Goedert or let him go, WE would choose to keep said player and hope and hope and hope he finally does something for us

what's money to the cowboys when they actually WANT to wait until the last minute and spend more, so they can cry about not having any money!

There's no we. It's they...

That would be a $10 billion NFL franchise with about 1200 employees and everyone who keeps criticizing Jerry, let me know how many billion your companies worth, and how you have it set up and then open up your books to us, and let us criticize you, if not then this stuff gets old seeing what the Eagles are doing I don't care what Washington's doing I don't care what the rest of the NFL is doing all I care about is we have 17 game football season coming up and that we're competitive and then after that it's out of our hands I'm just going to watch football....

They LET Schultz go., have many TES under rookie deals right now..and?they paid him and we let DS walk..hmm they must be isdiots but given credit for his 3rd deal being let go? you all need to stop the lovefest foir the eagles..

Dallas Goedert is entering the final year of his current four-year, $57 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, which runs through the 2025 season. The Eagles have been exploring potential trade scenarios for Goedert, and it's possible he'll be looking for a new contract, possibly including a pay cut,

So these eagles are so smart that they kept a guy under that contract the last four years for this..

WOW!! so they overpaid a player for 3 years while we had rookies..piad Huff 17M for being a ghost LOL them eagles do no worng

there are about a dozen "stepford fans" that are on here regularly. Lets not name names, that could cause a timeout. We dont want that on draft week.

You mean as opposed to the 15 or so that are always taken aside of our rivals you mean the ones that are drooling over anything are hated rivals are and somehow we're supposed to respect you more than the truth nobody knows the truth somehow both can be truths and both can be misinformation no one knows you all don't run **** you can keep it up and say you do and we're going to keep coming in here and saying stop talking about the Eagles washington the Giants unless we're playing them it doesn't matter you could come in and whine like toddlers that doesn't make it right that doesn't make it more true..

How do you know what was offered and what wasn't anymore than I can say when I think might have been offered and not offered or declined unacceptable?/ Please both of you let me know where you get your information from so I can like counter with where I get my information from and none of it's true because it comes from the Internet you have to take the sides of the agent player that's 2/3 who want more money who wish to add more money who want to pay more money versus the side who doesn't want to give his money away that's not how you become a billionaire..

so somewhere along the middle is where the truth lies.

Put your helmet on we don't want you to hurt it while you're tripping over your own words...

This is Tyler Smith's 4th year. Dallas will probably sign him after this year. Cam doesn't have a 5th year option, that's why they signed him after 3 years. They didn't do anything special.

Yeah, they're delusional, they're calling us usual suspects, like they have the larger crowd, like the places named Anti-Cowboys Zone,

I must have forgot when I signed up it was called the actual cowboy zone for Cowboys fans and yes, we're allowed to criticize the Cowboys I'm sick of hearing about other teams of what they do from the Peanut Gallery who really don't do anything in the NFL at all but maybe they can start by cleaning jock straps..jk LOL

As fans we can only assume the norm. It's normal to extend a player or coach/manager with one year left on his contract. Sometimes 2 years if they have a 5th year option. If that doesn't happen people are going to talk. Because it's not what we typically see.

I don't recall Dallas signing too many players after they've played out their 5th year option.

Maybe when this team isnt on the longest champonship game "drought" in the NFC we will stop comparing them to teams that arent.

Truth is. Most teams in the NFL dont wait until the day of the season to start to sign their QB.

Most teams like to get contracts done early.

Most teams dont say "we dont want to set the market" then wait until the last minute to. You guessed it. Set the market anyways.

More like we get this type of crap from the usual suspects.
Its not crap.

It is the reality that when your rivals and every other team who seems to make it further in the playoffs who have teams that are run properly do this, you will question if the FO has a grasp on what they are actually doing.
