Is the door open for the Cowboys to take the NFCE?

If Philly falters, what team benefits the most? IMO, our Cowboys. Why?

Two reason stand out that point in that direction. First is that our offense is simply on fire. Part of this might be that we haven't played the best competition in most games, but no team put up these yards and points by accident. Our offense is damn good and can carry us past 2/3's of the league even with the current state of our defense. Is it sustainable? Maybe not through the entire back end of the schedule, but we're probably not dropping 30 points a game every week anyway.

Second, while our schedule is tougher the second half of the season, this is when our wounded on defense return. Overshown will be a massive boost to a LB corps that seems to be one of the worst tackling units in the league. Bland's return will be a boost to a secondary that needs help, to be kind. The return of both players should help the defense greatly.

Should Philly falter, the Cowboys are the team in the best position to take advantage of their fall. Strange things have happened in the past, so who knows what the future holds?

Honestly, the Eagles have looked like crap most of the season. Hopefully, their luck has run out with the start of the Broncos loss.

Yes, the door is open to the NFC East.
No, we will be pushed out the way by the Egirls, Commanders and even N.Y. which has found its groove and is making noise about competing.
Watch for a bottleneck at the end of the season.

The odd thing is the realistic fan sees this as a 8-9 team. However to do so enrages the clueless and naive.
Perhaps the always optimistic fans have followed the team for only 5 years or so.
And not 30 years of frustration.
2-2-1 offers little hope.

I said 8-9 before the season.. but I have a tiny bit of hope we might go better than that.

Not because we beat the Jets.. but because we tied with GB and the O looks hot.

Plenty of draft picks. But most important, unlike our guys, proven Super Bowl winners. Are you implying the Cowboys with league's worst defense are the powerhouse? I think any rational fan would pick the Eagles as the favorite to win the NFC East this year.

The Eagles aren't doing that good on offense or defense. Usually, that results in a bad record.

Their opponents have had a ton of huge unforced errors, however.

It's unfortunate that teams have not been able to better capitalize on the generally poor performance of the Eagles as there is no telling how long that will last.

Eagles defense is a playing a bit better than Dallas'. However, their offense is playing drastically worse.

Taken as a whole, the #1 offense and 32nd defense is generally better than 30th and 23rd.

I could’ve told you who would be the first person to respond. And since I was correct, who the blank cares if he hurls insults, in fact you know you’re on the right side if he does.

After 5 games, anyone who would say the doors not open for everyone , doesn’t know anything about football in particular the NFL. It’s 100% designed for every team to have a chance as far into the season as possible: it’s ludicrous to say otherwise.
