Prescott had a very shaky 4th QTR

Not even close to catch of the year or even catch of the game. Hit him in the hands where no defender could get it. That's a catch that good players make every quarter of every game, especially when the game is on the line.
I listened to the radio broadcast while watching the game. Babe Laufenberg, who is a major Dakistan, said clearly that Dak wishes he could have that one back.

Schoon made a great effort to catch it, but it was way too far.

Good lord, learn football, man.

I thought it was fair game to be untethered to reality? After all, you're criticizing Dak for the opposing defense giving him a free set of downs that would've otherwise prevented him from scoring yet another TD to keep the team in the game. It's a fun game to play when you can make up your own rules!

He got a gifted opportunity from the refs on a horrible roughing call on third down.

Then, with the game right in his hands to win it in the end, he crapped his knickers with his typical wide-eyed glazed look in crunch time.

This is who he is. For 10 years.

Hmm mmm. He got gifted his third TD of the game. Dak is to blame for a bad call from the refs which he then capitalized on. Ok.

How do you feel about the defense giving up a 6.5 minute drive with a game-winning field goal as time expired?

Had a prime opportunity to win the Eagles game. Didn't. Scored no points in the second half.

Played well and beat the the 2-4 Giants.

Crapped the bed against the Bears.

Had a prime opportunity to win the Packers game. Didn't. Failed to score a TD on 1st-and-goal from the 5 yard line.

Played well and beat the 0-6 Jets.

Had a prime opportunity to win the Panthers game. Didn't. Checked down and managed to complete 3 consecutive passes for -12 yards on what could have been the game-winning drive.

2-3-1 now. Season is essentially over.

Stop looking at stat sheets and focus on situations with games on the line. Especially later in the season. Stats mean less than nothing.

You want to see a QB that is stepping up and proving himself after years of criticism? Look at Baker Mayfield.

Let me guess: the only that thing that truly matters when evaluating players (that you already don't like) is the 'eye test'.

But hey, I get it. It's all Dak's fault. That's your opinion. How do you feel about the defense being dead last in the league and letting the other team run the ball down our throats for the last 6.5 minutes of the game which directly resulted in yesterday's loss?

I did get absolutely frustrated with that last series, and I still am. But I don't know how much of that was on Dak. I will say he looked less comfortable in the second half, sometimes throwing the check down when he had more time.

The eye test is undefeated throughout all of history. It's directly related to "you are what your record says you are". The obvious remains the obvious no matter what PFF meta stat red herrings people throw around. In the end, the W's and L's are the only stats that matter.

60 million of that is on Dak. As pointed out already in this thread, he's had three opportunities to lead this team to a late win, and failed each time. I bet Mahomes comes through on a couple of those.

Never said it was all Dak's fault, Mr. Strawman.

But elite quarterbacks win games like that. Average guys do not.

Stats are for fans who have no idea what they're watching.

Elite performance is about what you do when it matters most in the biggest moments on the grandest stage.

He looked fairly comfortable all game didn’t really get hit/sacked. On the goal line he then fumbled the ball for no apparent reason. Dallas had to settle for 3. For the rest of the quarter he had happy feet despite having plenty of time in the pocket. He didn’t use his legs , didn’t throw anything downfield.

On our last drive Dallas got the ball on the 46 yard line and Dak checked it down 3 times for minus 12 yards. On every single one of those plays he looked like a deer in headlights. No more MVP talk. I don’t care what the stats say, he was off when it mattered most.
What does any of this have to do with the defense giving up over 200 rushing yards and a 6 minute drive to end the game ?? Ridiculous thread.

Dak had a chance to take the lead. Great quarterbacks do it even if they don’t have a run game. You can’t have a bad series with only minutes remaining in the 4th quarter. Dak’s been around long enough to know if a play call is bad you check out of it or you call a timeout and talk to the coach.
Who gave up the 24-20 and 17-10 leads?? Or the 27-27 tie. I will hang up and listen.

No elite player in the world can stop their defense from letting the other team march down the field with 6.5 mins left and literally lose the game.

Let's bet real this game was mainly on the defense however you can't overlook your 60m QB playing like crap when it comes to the end game.

Defense also generated a tuenover which netted us 7pts
Last time I checked, we never got the ball back. A 6 minute plus drive.
