I do actually like you, so sorry for the paragraph comment, lol. But please use commas, they are your friend. The great GMs build championship rosters through and through. Look at what Howie has done in Philly. If a player gets hurt he is building depth. Constantly trading, constantly making the team better to the point of manipulating the cap. Yes, the bill comes due but the teams who have bult aggressively like the Eagles and Rams have multiple rings and SB appearances to show for it. Jerry has never put together a complete roster. The 2021-2023 seasons were as close as he's come but there have always been gaping holes like no run game or a decent to poor defense, etc. As many others have pointed out, he's more concerned with staying relevant than he is going all in and winning, because that would mean some down years with all the cap hits. Yes, he finally made a decent trade and got Pickens. But what else has he ever done in Free Agency, or in trades that worked? A freaking 4th for Lance? A 4th for Mingo? Overpays or completely screws up contracts so he can get the media discussing him until the final hour? Should have gotten way more for Micah from an AFC team who would have higher picks. Just bad. Yikes.
The funny thing is we absolutely lucked into Romo and Dak, those weren't some masterful GM evaluations or anything. Romo almost got cut multiple times and Dak only saw the field because both Romo and Kellen were hurt.
Look I don't care what these other teams have done, there's nothing we could do about that we are not fans of those teams, and those teams also make a lot of mistakes, You do realize that Jerry from 2021 to 2023 took the division twice from those Eagles we were the number one seed in 2023, unfortunately the players let Jerry down once again jerry didn't do that Parsons was on that team...
I don't want to hear about all this, it is what it is we are not in a situation to use a time machine.
It was not luck every team could say that then how is Tom Brady or Brock Purdy they were not evaluated to be the starters for those teams Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Geno Smith ,and now Daniel Jones, have all been passed around until now they're all of a sudden good quarterbacks lucky for those teams right. lmao How about the Bills, josh Allen was terrible in college he didn't even look good his first two years in the NFL they were all over them for that bad pick and you know what he developed I'd call that luck or is it just sometimes things work out that way?
Teams like the Steelers, Jets ,Browns and for years it was also Washington ,and New York both New York teams,
Lots of teams looking for quarterbacks that never can find them, and you're saying Jerry got lucky well why aren't they getting lucky, The Browns are paying for eight quarterbacks right now current and now long around the roster ,They've spent decades looking for a quarterback and can't find one they've done everything draft trades nothing's working but Jerry, Nope he lucked into it ,but these other teams have it right...
This has all been calculated right the Buccaneers getting Baker Mayfield and Brady?!!!!
they knew he was going to be an MVP, are you serious, can you please sit down and stop making stuff up to fit your narrative it is what it is Stay in a moment and realize you can't change any of that. Are you gonna add the coats to that mix too i'm trying to think of all these teams that can't get as lucky as dairy but you don't remember that lots of teams have stumbled into some of these quarterbacks when they shouldn't have..
One of them was also Kurt Warner tell me how he was under active but that was calculated now it took an injury for him to get in with the Rams So do we want to go over all the other teams because every time you do this that's what I'm gonna do they'll be long run on sentences without commas telling you that this is the reality of sports...
Lots of teams had bad drafts and like I said right now we're struggling on defense because we've just been unlucky in the draft and free agency and with injuries and it just happens to be on that side of the ball right now..
I mean the Browns are having the opposite problem but I sure would love to stay a Cowboys fan because the Browns haven't even won a division since 1989 and at least Jerry competes with Howie Roseman for the division I mean I know that's grasping at straws but we have not been the grounds people keep saying we're the Browns..
Right, now we're pretty much set up like the Cincinnati Bengals ,It's sad but it's also reality for other teams it sure is being heavy on 1 side or the other the Browns, have a great defense but a crap offense, it happens,
I don't see how you don't realize it is difficult to build a team that's strong on both sides of the ball ask the 85 Bears ask the Ravens twice How in the hell did the Jaguars and the Jets get the championship games with those offenses?
I don't think you want to do this with me, i'm not saying I like Jerry, I don't support Jerry,
I don't care who owns the team or who the GM is,
i'm telling you the reality of sports especially the NFL this is pretty normal I mean how long did it take the Bears to find Caleb Williams and is he it I don't know but how long has it been have they had a quarterback that never even reached 4000 yards like a century?
I wouldn't put it as luck you have good picks you have bad picks it just works out in your favor sometimes and it don't happens with all teams out there I mean I can just keep doing this There aren't many complete teams out there It is funny how the Rams throw away Jared Goff but he's doing well with the Lions does it make sense that the Lions got rid of Matthew Stafford and he goes and wins one with the Rams It's just luck it is all luck it's the timing of all of it can be deemed as luck
and I just say it just you get what you get..
