TRADED Glazer: Cowboys trade for DT Quinnen Williams

I don’t care if the pick is 28-32. Lots of immediate starters get drafted by teams at the end of round 1 and the beginning of day 2. Not saying you wouldn’t prefer a top 10 pick, but the bust potential is much less because teams tend to draft college production over athletic potential, I believe.

Any R1 pick is a good value but there is zero reason to believe this one will fall that low (28-32) unless one stopped paying attention after the hype of the trade had GB as title faves.
They've took some bad beats already and the schedule gets much tougher.

This was stupid. Keep the picks and move Mazi for a 7th. These guys aren't going to fix the defense and now we have a lot less draft capital for a rebuild. These trades set the Cowboys back another 5 years or more. Just kicking the can down the road again.

You've got to be kidding, a 2027 first round pick does not fix anything for 2026. The 2026 2nd round pick hurts but its worth the trade when you can get rid of mazi.

Value wise we are still up as far as picks go. If you look at what got and gave up, we are roughly a 2nd round value. You can kind of look at it value wise as we traded Micah for Williams and a 2nd.

It all depends on where the 1st’s end up next year. If we end up giving the Jets the 15th pick and keeping the Packers 25th pick (just random guesses) the pick value will ultimately end up negative for the Cowboys.

The Jets is the worst situation in the NFL by a wide margin.
They play whirl a twirl at QB and 90% of them live in another state.

Jimmy's Cowboys had one of the worst cultures in professional sports once they had won.
It didn't make players want to leave until the late 90s.

Ehhhh, I too think it's rich but at least Williams is really good and only 27 and under contract for a few more years.

I was worried he was going to trade a top pick for one some short term rental who was old.
