What we get for mazi? That is why. He was a first round pick. To get nothing in return back is horribleWhat was their reasoning?
Who Nick Wright?ESPN gave Dallas an F for the trade.
Exactly why I hate Jerry so much, everybody and their dog has been screaming for a quality DT for years and this shoulda/coulda been done in the offseason, not freaking now and having wasted another entire freaking season. What a colossal arse####.The problem is this is too late to affect this season.
They aren't making the playoffs because they still have holes and their DC blows.
We didn't keep all of our firsts. It's not a great move until we see how this defense is rebuilt. One player won't do that.Absolutely. So you got an elite player and kept your firsts this year and next. It’s a great move.
So we just throw away first round picks. Somebody needs fired for blowing that pick.Only someone stupid would give you a 4th. Mazi was a throw in, he brought no value.
It’s a great move except nothing matters without the QB.Not sure how anyone could dislike this trade for Dallas.
You gave up all of 2nd rounder this year to shore up a position you have failed to fix for at least 5 seasons.
Instead of a 2nd round rookie DT you are plugging in an All-Pro DT.
You also move 2.5M in dead money off in regularly inactive Mazi Smith.
Seriously, are you guys ok???
Jerry is still an idiot but the Parsons, Pickens and QW trades have been superb.
Its a great move when its a 27 1st and a 26 2nd.We didn't keep all of our firsts. It's not a great move until we see how this defense is rebuilt. One player won't do that.
Yep, people will whine no matter what they do.This is 100% a “thing”. Players that have left for other teams have alluded to this, notably DLaw. The Dallas environment is toxically soft and that absolutely affects players and their contributions on the field on some level.
Over 50% of first round picks end of not working out. Lets fire everyone. LOLSo we just throw away first round picks. Somebody needs fired for blowing that pick.
Well we can't fire Jerry but Quinn and Parsons is gone. Those 2 were jumping for joy for that pick.So we just throw away first round picks. Somebody needs fired for blowing that pick.
That second round pick is from this years draft. We will picking the top ten. So more like pick number 8 or 9 of the second round which would like pick 42It’s a great move when it’s a 27 1st and a 26 2nd.
I agree. First is the general manager needs to fire himselfOver 50% of first round picks end of not working out. Let’s fire everyone. LOL
I'm not talking about the slot, I'm just talking about the 2026 2nd round pick that is in the draft. We still have the 2 1st in the 2026 draft. That second round pick is from this years draft. We will picking the top ten. So more like pick number 8 or 9 of the second round which would like pick 42
We won't be picking top ten, we'll fight tooth and nail for meaningless games with our rookies on the bench and eek out enough wins to put us in the teens... like alwaysThat second round pick is from this years draft. We will picking the top ten. So more like pick number 8 or 9 of the second round which would like pick 42
I’m thinking we will be picking 10 and 26. The packers will not make it past the divisional round. You got to go corner/ lb.I'm not talking about the slot, I'm just talking about the 2026 2nd round pick that is in the draft. We still have the 2 1st in the 2026 draft.
What exactly did I say where he “proved me wrong”. I’d like my exact quote but I’ll tell you right now, you won’t provide one because there isn’t one.sorry Jerry proved you wrong today and you didn't get to cry how he didn't make any moves
DTs usually age well. If you look at the best DTs in the league this season - Sexy Dexy, Vea, Derrick Brown, Leonard Williams, Jeffrey Simmons, Cam Heyward, etc - most are in their late 20s or 30s.Nobody doubts Williams is a quality player but it's an odd trade. This season is done. He will be almost 29 years old when we get into the nuts and bolts of the 2026 season. Will he still be an All Pro player?
I just fear that the move actually holds back the Cowboys to have teams that can compete for several years and how it will be sustainable given the salary cap especially with Pickens and Williams potentially being retained plus the $231 million guaranteed money to Prescott on that 4 year contract.
Not moaning just thinking about the actual long term benefit.
either starting LB or starting Safety.I’m thinking we will be picking 10 and 26. The packers will not make it past the divisional round. You got to go corner/ lb.
If who ever put this together has Murray ahead of Logan the need to have their head examined.Depth chart already updated...... huh
