You really think the Cowboys aren't going to lose 4 more games this year?

Only 4 more losses and you're wrong for the second time this season on your record prediction.

Eagles, Lions, Chiefs, Chargers, and Vikings are all left on the schedule. I could easily see them losing to Washington or NY. I mean, the sorry Cardinals dog walked them, so the Raiders game could be another embarrassing loss.

I hope you bet your internet access on your prediction.
 
If not stated before, the offensive line. I have honestly thought it was overrated all year, Dak has gotten lucky and had no luck vs the Cardinals. I honestly don't think either tackle is starting caliber and Tyler Smith the most overrated lineman in the league.
 
The Dallas Tilapia are bottom feeders only. I openly stated that game was a easy L to call weeks in advance. And I made an easy five thousand betting on common knowledge
 
Two things to note here:

1. The last 2 teams got pressure on Dak, who was pretty much standing upright all season long. Any average NFL QB that has time, especially with 10 years of experience, should be able to move the ball, especially against garbage defenses. Dak with pressure has resorted back to who he is, come good defenses in the regular season and playoff time. It has nothing to do with “wilting” as he continuously has a tradition of sucking against good defenses, not beating up on bad teams with inexperienced defensive coordinators.

2. It may also be similar to his other years from an offensive play calling situation, meaning teams have seen enough tape to figure out what our HV, BS, is doing. This is making Dak look further down his reads and he’s not good when that happens.

dolphins do that often, plus it was in Miami and wet conditions, which probably contributed to their TOs. Plus, the Bills are also over-rated, as their defense is bad and they have no WRs.

dak can't take pressure. If his first read, which he most of the time goes to, is covered, the play is over. shrugs.. MVP, great against little to no pressure, mostly none. :D

I think you can boil it down to one thing when it comes to loser Dak.

When the games started to become "must win" then the "must win" version of Dak came out.

That's why he has as many TDs as Joe Milton does in the past 2 weeks.

I don't know that I would go so far as to call it "easily" but I am in agreement that if the defense steps up and allows to offense to play "normal" football instead of getting off the bus needing to score 40 This team CAN go 5-3 (or better) down the stretch. With a halfway decent defensive effort they will actually be on equal footing with every team they play. Wilson, Williams and Clark should put a stop to any interior run game by the opponents as well as provide interior pressure keeping QBs from step up thus allowing the DE's to get home. They will also allow the DBs to NOT have to cover for 5 seconds. With EzE and Clowney coming on I think the pass rush is about to do work.

For those who say "but the offense has struggled recently." I would counter that the only struggle has been guys committing turnovers and penalties trying to do too much while trying to cover for the horrid defense. I think if the offense can get its collective mind back to normal a lot of that stuff goes away and Dak re-enters the MVP conversation. Though I have to admit I am more than a little concerned about how bad the starting line has looked coming back from injury. Hopefully they heal up over the bye week and get back to playing at a high level.
 
Opposing teams now have a lot of film on Schotty's offense and now it's time for him to make some adjustments. This could explain the Arizona and Denver games.

In many ways this is an early turning point in his coaching career. McCarthy's offense turned stagnant here because he refused to change. I can only hope Schotty is not as stubborn.

Cowboys Dak Prescott has a 90.2 grade (1st) when facing pressure, per PFF. The QB who’s second on the list is Matthew Stafford with 73.8. The gap between Prescott and Stafford’s grade is the same distance as Stafford to Michael Penix (No. 12). Elite stuff from Prescott.​

 
Dak's been playing great. Last 2 weeks the offense has been stifled - that's not Dak's fault. He can't do it all - be realistic. No QB in the league would do any better with the surrounding cast. Also don't forget a few bone-headed play calls (especially the non-kicks) by the HC. The far majority of this team's woes are being pooped out by the Defense. I have never, in all my years, seen such poor (total lack of) tackling, bad pursuit angles and guys standing around scratching their butts like we have this year. I'm sick of seeing guys celebrate a sack or stop for a loss when they are 2 TD's or more behind. Or the stupid endzone celebrations when they are having their butts handed to them on the scoreboard.

Teams have deployed this strategy against big play offenses since the dawn of time. Most of the time the offense shoots itself in the foot with a penalty, a receiver takes his eyes off the ball trying to run before he catches it or the QB gets impatient and forces a throw into coverage. The simple fact of the matter is teams do it because it works. The QB (Dak) can make every throw right on the money and the offense can still fail because of .. I dunno.. teammates fumbling, dropping passes or committing stupid penalties. Then a bunch of internet MENSAs will come on after the game blaming the QB for a bad showing by the offense. It's maddening sometimes..

Yep.. the difference is the great teams very often find a way to win anyway. See the Chiefs and Eagles. Right now the Cowboys are clearly NOT a great team. Probably not even a good team. But the potential is there. If we could get rid of the idiot coordinating the defense LOL!.. Sorry couldn't resist.
