Romo on pardon my take about not winning a Superbowl

Bottomline is the Romo we saw return arguably provided us a better opportunity to advance. If he gets hurt again then you being Prescott back.

But that’s not why Jethro went with Prescott. He did because he couldn’t afford for Romo to come up short while benching the Rookie sensation even though we were beginning to see his weakness exposed.

In other worlds Jethro played the Public Perception Card. He was better off losing with Prescott than Romo . and once he made that decision there was no going back to Romo. Regardless if it was a sounder GM move .
Wrong. Dak was not the reason the Cowboys didn't beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in order to advance to the NFC Championship Game. If anything, Dak was the one who gave the Cowboys the best chance, even brought the team back from being down 18 points halfway through the 2nd quarter, only to tie the game 31-31 with 35 seconds left in regulation. The Cowboys were robbed by the cheating referees. As a rookie in his very first playoff game, Dak threw for 3+ TDs, over 300+ yards and brought the team back from being down 3 scores with only half the game left to play: things Romo never accomplished in any of the 6 playoff games he ever started for the Cowboys, including all of Romo's experience. So, sorry, but you're wrong that Romo could have given the Cowboys the better chance to win that 2016 Divisional Playoff Game. Everything proves it.
history pisses all over your claim that Dak would have gotten us farther
by the way dak brought that team back against the prevent mostly
but anyway no rookie was going to get to the promised land not even your Messiah Dak
Keep lying all you want if that helps you sleep better at night. The facts are on tape. Everything I've said is recorded as evidence. If you don't have the mental fortitude to accept that, that's your problem.

LOL.......this is so misguided, I'm not even going to respond. Good luck.......
It's misguided because you don't understand the game or what your were watching. There are multiple quarterbacks who could have led those 92-95 Cowboys to Super Bowls.

Romo was trying to get the Bad News Bearss there.

Troy couldn't get the Cowboys past the divisional round after Jimmy left either.

only liar around here is you

And the int had nothing to do with them being down? I agree Dak played good enough to win. Rodgers should have been sacked on the play that got them in FG range.
That INT was both on Dak and our playcaller. Should have never been called, especially against that formation.

We all know who Dak's most ardent defenders are. And now we know who Romo's defender is.

By the way, that's the most stupid thing I think I have ever read on CZ. Comparing winning super bowls to whether or not you get cancer? Who does that?
you and those like you thinking any football game is more important then life

Tony Romo on @PardonMyTake:

"I'm not a guy with big regrets, I guess you could say. The only regret I guess I would have is that... my job was to bring a Super Bowl to Dallas and I didn't do it. So that always sticks with me a little bit. Because you give your whole body, heart, soul, everything into it."

"And you just wanted that for... all the fans. The Joneses. For everybody that you're around. And so that one always sticks with me a little bit just because I had that opportunity and just wasn't able to do it. So that part of it kind of still... sits there."

"But at the end it was like... I could go somewhere else and do it. Because I was like, I gotta win a Super Bowl. It's literally what you play the game for. Nothing else matters."

"And it just was like... but would that be the same? If I went somewhere else and did it?"

"Because at that point I'd known the game at such a high level. My last 20, 25 games, we were pretty successful. When healthy. But I was getting injured more often. Body breaks down in some ways through the years."

"...I think just... it was as simple as it just wouldn't feel as... important... it would be important to me, but it was for the people I was around. All the fans that we had."

Where did he give his whole body ?

Was it on the basketball court? No.

He left it on green 19.

Brothers, no one should ever want cancer of any type. It's the worst disease. Absolutely the hardest thing to deal with 24/7 just to function, breathe and try to continue living.

Not totally accurate.

Not totally accurate.
Especially the part about Troy not being able to get past the divisional round after Jimmy left. Super bowl 30 happened in year 2 of Switzer's time. And the year before that? Dallas lost the NFCCG to SF.

After super bowl 30? Sure, Troy never got past the divisional round after that, but it absolutely happened the first 2 years after Jimmy was gone.

A fairly honest admission and self-appraisal.

And now, Cowboyszone

Unleash hell!
Thats hilarious!:lmao2:

Luv me some Romo. He’s the epitome of earning everything he got. Anyone doing so from being undrafted under the notoriously picky Parcells had to have something special. Too bad he was snakebite by bad personnel decisions and coaching.
