When firing someone you always do it the most respectful way possible. And there’s even more at risk here being you’re firing him in front of millions.

So yeah it’s easy to say “man up” but it was reckless and completely unnecessary and if I worked there I’d be pissed.

It doesn’t cost anything to be respectful. You don’t even have an argument other than “we all go through it”…we all go through a lot that doesn’t make it right.

ESPN didn't tell him he was fired in the middle of the episode, it was leaked to him by someone else.

How is that the company's fault?

And if you've worked in HR you would know that people are sometimes let go in the middle of their shift.

As a matter of fact, people on Executive levels are often walked out of the building immediately and not allowed to re-enter. Their stuff is collected and given to them at a later date.

The blame of "leaking" his firing goes to the people who leaked it.

Who do you think leaked it? Ryan didn’t know….his agent didn’t….no one knew until he his time slot…could’ve easily let him know that morning or before. They didn’t just come to their senses and fired him they knew before that day.

Clark was in the middle of filming when they fired him. He reportedly had to ask them does he finish the job or leave now. They said leave now. Not HR but espn executives.

Whether it’s done or not…fact is they’ve never done it to an employee before and it doesn’t make it any less professional.

I don’t even know the BSPN side of the story if I did I’d take it into account but shockingly they’ve been quiet on it.

Imagine siding with a a multibillion dollar corporation simply because….well I don’t know why lol.

I side with right over wrong. I don’t wish ill or don’t care for people simply because of how much money I think they have.

Only feeling bad for poor people is a crazy take lol.

He had a very small window to drink.

Leave the golf course at 5PM.

Gas up and smash a tall one at the GoMart. (Who does this???)

Gets pulled over at 6:18PM

pure speculation on my part:

He may have taken some pain meds after getting in his car.

He has a bad back.

It had to be killing him. Plus he has a long drive.

Quite possible if his back was hurting him the ride home sitting in the car would only stiffen it up worse.
Very well could have taken something to relax it so it wouldn't be locked up tight as a drum when he got home.

Those of us who have suffered back pain definitely no what a car ride can do when it's already tweaked

What exactly about the image screams Baked? It's nothing like some of the other famous pictures of other celebs (Nolte takes the cake).

Put a hat back on him to get rid of the "hat hair", take away the harsh lighting used for a mugshot, and remove some redness from being in the sun playing golf all week and...what do you know, it looks like normal Tony Romo.

It's just crazy these days that people don't call an Uber/Lyft every time they go out and drink. Paying $15-20 for a ride is a lot better than $10-15k+ to make a DUI go away.

I agree. He still should have called an Uber if it was Alcohol. But still. And if it's pain meds, then it's ridiculous they can't take that into account.
 
i honestly didnt realize there is still so much passion for Romo. Nothing wrong with it- heck, Danny White remains my all time favorite Cowboy. I guess I just didn't realize Tony Romo was still loved as much as he is. He does seem very likeable. :thumbup:
