Dak or not, most of the league aren't impressed by a few preseason games.

This is a little rich as a Dak flex. If Dak hadn't looked competent in those preseason games, he is never given a chance. They would have traded for someone when Tony went down & cut him cause he was third string based on camp and only that because we spent a pick on him not because he earned it.

It is not surprising; he is a good athletic but not a good quarterback and is too inconsistent so no team would want to give a pick for him

"According to a source, the Cowboys did have some trade conversations regarding Milton prior to the cut down to the 53-man roster on Sunday. If Milton clears waivers, he could be brought back to the practice squad, but it's not clear if the Cowboys will bring him back."

"If the Cowboys released Howell, they would still be on the hook for his $2 million base salary, and if he would have been brought back to the practice squad, that money would have counted in addition to his guaranteed money.

One edge for Howell was experience. He has 18 career starts (all with Washington in 2022 and '23). Milton has played in five games in two years with no starts."

I hope not. I don’t want to sign a 33 year old, well 34 year old after this year, to a 65 or 70 million dollar contract with his injury history.

Do you think Dak will take a pay cut? Do you think Dak will stay healthy and effective for another extension?

At some point this FO has to have a plan for Dak’s replacement. They’re doing the same thing/mistake they did with Troy. Troy had concussions and back problems and they kept redoing his deal and paying him more money and then didn’t have a plan for a successor.

What are they doing here? They hang on to Milton last year when he put nothing on film and played poorly and then cut him this year after he shows progress and played well.

We'll see if that's true.

I don't blame him. He needs an opportunity to start games next year so he can try to get paid.

Same can be said for Tony if Quincy didn't smoke himself out of football. Romo was about to be released because of Drew Henson.

Dak played because Romo was coming back. Then things were going well, and Romo's body wasn't cooperating.
