Tyrone Crawford carted off the field (achilles)

Spencer - Hatcher - Ratliff - Ware
Crawford - Liss - Bass - Albright.

Ohhh, I see...you're the type fan who thinks we should have all-pros on the bench. In that case, it's useless to discuss this further.

lol, I can just throw names out there and make it seem like we have depth too.

Larry, Harry, Curly, Moe.

Stop overreacting guys!

Devin Taylor would have been a nice mid round pick up IMO. I actually think he has pretty good upside as strong side 4-3 DE

This news ruined my day. Sickening. Couldn't even enjoy football for a day before this crap happens. This is a huge blow to a DL that wasn't very deep to begin with. Damn...

I thought he looked done in OTAs?

Sure he did. But that is about our speed.

Anyone expecting Abraham in here us kidding themselves.

Wasnt commenting on Escobar in particular, but In the context of an early season ending injury to a player we were counting on, yeah it's knee jerk to complain that we didn't have even more depth behind him.

Though, I imagine that if it were Hanna who just went down there would be fans knee jerking in the other direction how stupid it would be to build a 12 offense around just two starting quality TEs.

Bottom line, when you lose a talented young player for the season, it affects your team's depth. That's not really a news flash.

It really could've happened at any position group, at least it wasn't a starter.

I don't think any position group can afford to lose a young talented guy, so it is a big loss for the team regardless of position.

That's about the size of it.

Ugh.

One of the players I was excited about this season.

man this is very big blow to the defense. now who steps up to be that backup passrusher to spencer and ware. I do not have much hope for Wilber yet.

Yeah, it just stinks to lose a young player we were counting on. I'd like to just wallow in that a bit before the bemoaning of our front office, the draft, and the entire off-season to-date starts up, but that's just not to be.

Only thing we can do is hope it gives someone else an opportunity to step up. Would be great to have someone else step up (like Wilber) and next year have them both.

The only positive I can take from this right now is it gives someone else who we might not even know about right now, an opportunity to perform and perhaps make us a stronger team next year when Crawford is ready.
