That's pretty much how journalism works. Reporters have sources who inform them of what others have said.

These are not Journalists. They are sport reporters. Thats a big difference.
And whats more journalism does not work that way.

Just go watch the 4th quarter of the Saints game where 80% of the team was playing "Please dont hit me Mr. mean New Orleans Saint, I just want to go home". Teams that buy in aren't running away from contact like that.

I listened to 33:30 and this is what I heard (tried to transcribe exactly)

He first starts out with:
"there’s no issues in this locker room"

So that's not a good start for the OP.

Then:
"I think there is starting to be a little bit of a non trust factor between the players and the coaches about the scheme..I do on that, I do believe that, that’s just, that’s just me, that’s me walking in there…"

Than he gets cut off and they talk about how vague things can be in a locker room.

Is there another part? Because to me, that clearly is him stating his opinion and not hearing anything directly about players questioning coaches privately in any kind of confidence. Again I didn't listen to the whole hour, but where's the meat on this bone?

Broaddus said that when he walks through the lockerroom players are telling him "can you belive what the coaches did there" and Broaddus also said that he believes the players are starting to question the defensive scheme being used.

Looks like Opie and Grandpa are starting to wear out their welcome, really dont see how Garrett survives if this thing goes south and we miss the playoffs. Look for a clean sweep of the coaching staff if that happens.

When players begin to question the scheme, then what they are really questioning is themselves. That could be good or bad. If they have character, they stand and fight. If they lack character, they fold their tents and go home. We'll find out Sunday.

well maybe it will be like a few years ago when we had Wade and a player texted SOS to a writer, meaning same old sh--. Then they go on run to win the division..

Wait who am I kidding? They will lose to the Eagles in another win and in to complete the NFC East trifecta.

Broaddus' comments mentioned by the OP are made in a segment about Will Allen that begins around 24:30 and ends a little after 35:00. My rough transcription of his comments is below.

25:30

Broaddus: "You know what? This is what I'm going to say. We hang out in this locker room a lot and get to talk to guys . . . [There have been] more questions this year about coaching decisions than I've experienced since being here in 1999. I have guys that come in to me and say: 'Hey, can you believe they did this?' And they know because I watch the tape and we all watch the tape and stuff. But they are like: 'Can you believe they did this?'

33:45

Broaddus asks if there are any issues in the locker room. In others words, is what Allen had to say legitimate. Spagnola asks if Allen's comments about the Cowboys are relevant to the defense's poor performance.

Broaddus: "I think there's starting to be a little bit of a non-trust factor between the players and the coaches about the scheme. I do on that. I do believe that."

The entire segment is worth a listen.

Well here's my problem. If it is true....

These guys complained about Ryan's defense being too complicated.

Now they are complaining about this "simpler" defense.

Can they man up and just execute for a change? Scheme seems to be working fine in Seattle and Chicago.

Yes but you bent the story more than a little to match your narrative. The issue was with the defensive players and defensive scheme. Garrett has nothing to do with that. Not his domain at all.

I didnt bend jack.............I stated specifically what Broaddus said...............and he did say the players in the lockerroom were saying "can you believe what the coaches did there".............he made no distinction between offense or defense and neither did I. Then he started talking about he defensive scheme after that. It is you who are trying to twist the story to try to somehow make your boy Opie look competent.

Next time listen to the tape instead of trying to find excuses for your boy Opie................besides, he is the head coach and the buck stops with him, so if the players are questioning the scheme and he does nothing about it..........thats on him.

The problem is, everybody wants attention and wants to be the first/only to report these type of things.

so when people post and say "I don't believe you".....don't take it to heart, it just hurts them, because they wanted the attention.

Why is Broaddus wanting attention? He was talking about what the players in the lockerroom were telling him. Kinda hard for him not to be the first guy to report that?

This post makes no sense.

Where do you get an attack on broaddus in that post. Your problem is you read it, and wanted to say something so fast without understanding.

Read the whole thing, and try again.

I dont need to read jack again, you said folks want to report stuff first in order to get attention............Broaddus obviously is reporting this first before any other beat writers, so what you are saying makes no sense. If the players only told Broaddus this, how would the other beat writers even know about it?

I seriously dont think Broaddus is trying to get attention by being the first to report something like Ed Werder does on ESPN, Broaddus is on the air every day so he does not need something to increase ratings or what have you.

As far as folks not believing Broaddus, both the audio and the transcript are in this thread and they can listen for themselves if they dont believe him. I have no reason to believe he is lying, so I dont know why anybody would not believe him. He has no history of making wild claims so why would he do it now?

I'm conflicted! While I hate certain aspects of how we are coached, I hate when the players start whispering to Jerry. I know Broadass said it, but I know the players have an open door policy to Jerry for complaints. And typically when that happens Jerry makes a move. Players complained BP was to strict and ran too much, while playing a vanilla defense! #hegone (The complaints were there just in case someone wants to bring on TOs presence). Players complained Wades defensive schemes were bad! #hegone! Happened to Ryan, Campo (rightfully so), Switz, Gailey! #theygone!! All because a player(s) have influenced his decision.

Some of those #hegones were justifiable but these type of crap continues to happen, giving Jerry the easy way out! Lately they've tended to complain and quit on their coaches to make their point but still, Jerry has to close his door and stop using scapegoats the players don't like.

I guess the conflict is I want these incompetent dudes gone but not because they have knocked on Jerry's door and then laid down on the field to cement the decision for him.

Jerry in case you read this, these same cast (core) of game quitters will only quit on the next coach they don't like because you'll let them get away with it!
