Mort is reporting that he has a herniated disk & will require surgery. Jason seems to think treatment will fix it?

Think Romo's back issue has been a problem all season. The lack of arm strength, accuracy and throwing behind the WRs all might of been to mitigate the problem. The surgery to repair a cyst was mostly likely just deception. My guess, he re injured/herniated the same disk from the preseason. A disk issue does not go away, it just lingers and waits until you try to do to much......Now we no why Tony Romo was not running much, just taking the sacks and not doing his famous spin moves.....his back was injured all year long,,,,make to much sense

Not a doctor by any means and not sure about length of injuries but if it is a herniated disc how bad of an injury is that? Will this make Jerry draft a QB sometime in this upcoming draft?

They will almost certainly have to spend one of their first 2-3 picks on a QB

Gee, why such "breaking news" and such a long press conference over a QB who isn't any good? Seems like they're making a big deal over nothing. ;)

so he has a herniated disc from tripping on his own foot? Atleast that's when the limping started.

He gets injured so easy man, such a delicate QB he is.

Not questioning his toughness, but seriously. What other qb could have a career threatening injury from tripping on his own foot.

There is so much stupid in this post that it's not even funny.

I was joking, but it really might be. Jerry's going to look for any possible excuse to keep him around.

And you're probably right. So, we could lose out on the chance of making the playoffs again, Garrett might be kept, and depending on the seriousness and depth of Tonys back issues, those might not be the biggest problems.

That would certainly explain the fetal position thing he started doing this year, making an attempt to avoid big hits and refusing to step into throws in the face of pressure - See the Clay Matthews play where he slings it awkwardly instead of setting up after the near sack.

He had a number of passes this year where he'd sling it and instantly shrink away from defenders like he didn't want to be touched, never saw that till this year.

Years of crappy protection finally caught up with the guy.

If Romo can figure out a way to go, he's playing. He played better after the injury than he did before it. I think what's happening here is Romo's been told he needs surgery and he's scrambling to find a way to postpone it until the season is over.
