don't get the Titans interest in him....moving to a 3-4....he wasn't much in the 3-4.

Exactly what I was thinking... except the Skins are in the 3-4 as well. So, puzzling signing besides the fact that they want to hurt a division rival. Oh well, now we don't have to worry about JJ overpaying him now for his one year revival...

When this guy says it, it's a done deal, awful news.

Not really.

Maybe now both Jerry and Stephen Jones wake up and realize that they need a DL starter and the options are drying up quick.

Commanders signed DL Jason Hatcher, formerly of the Cowboys.

Hatcher left his Oakland visit and was scheduled to take a trip to Tennessee. Instead, he's staying in the NFC East. The Cowboys didn't make much of an effort to retain Hatcher because they really couldn't afford him. He'll turn 32 in July and is coming off an 11-sack season as a three-technique defensive tackle in Dallas' 4-3 defense. The Commanders run a 3-4, which means Hatcher will likely play end. He had 16 sacks in seven years before 2013.

Bowen plays right end. So he plays left end in a 3-4?

Good luck with that.

They gave him a 4 year deal which is way too much for a guy his age.. Let's see what the $ is like and the guaranteed $ especially.

why do people insist that one has ANYTHING to do with the other? it was already said melton was in play but they were waiting to see what hatcher did. the other players we're getting are NOT set to replace ware, we're just getting who we can with what we have. we KNEW this going into the offseason, yet the hate and anger is there in several posters every statement.

highly annoying.

4 Years 27.5 Mil.. wayyyy too much for him. Makes me happy actually that the Commanders continue to make bad signings.

is that really what they gave him? any idea how much guaranteed?

He dominated under the 4-3. Don't know why he'd go back to a 3-4 defense. Guess it was all about the $$$$. Bad career move.
