Do we still target Donald? Or do we go S in round one?

Or offensive live, defensive end, free safety, Linebacker.?

We locked up Melton so Donald isn't a need.

I'd go with the best rusher. I don't buy that we should go after BPA. We actually can't afford it. We still need Dline help and we should go after the best passrusher. If Donald is there for the taking you take him. If we have a passrushing DE that falls into our laps than we absolutely take him over any other BPA. Don't get the obsession for BPA. So if there was a tightend in the first round do we take him?

I have a 2nd round grade on Ealy. I like Critchton Murphy and Smith alot more than Ealy

It is not a great class as far as pure 4-3 DEs. The best pass rusher seem to be More 3-4 OLB guys including Murphy.

Melton creates flexibility in the draft, which the team sorely needed...they are pigeon-holed into taking a DT and only a DT early...IMO, they can use a modified BPA approach as long as they forget about WR and TE early, then they should be OK....it's ok to grab a WR later, I just don't think either of Watkins or Evans will be there at 16 but I would strongly consider one of them, otherwise, no WR in the first minimally

Carter has speed to burn too. He can't track a TE or get of a block to save his life though. I see nothing different about Shazier in that regard.

Carter's issue is instincts.

4-3 LBs don't engage and shed OL anymore, that stopped happening about 20 years ago. You will lose everytime if you engage a lineman, they're simply too big, strong and athletic in today's NFL. Name of the game is being able to slip blocks.

I see them going Donald Martin or one of the safeties if they stay put at 16. If it's a trade done then they go de

I'm still trying to figure out what makes people think that Melton will even be ready. He played three games last year and then blew out his knee. That would put it at mid to late September. So by then he will be just at a year post surgery. Outside of AP who has come back 100% that soon? How did that turn out for RG3, etc.

That knee is going to swell and take time. We need all the help we can get!

Jerry isnt drafting a Safety in round 1 and tbh I'm not sold on Dix or Pryor as the 10 year answer

If Donald is on the board and is BPA at that time then yes you take him. Object is to get quality players and Donald appears to be just that.

BPA except TE, CB, WR, K, and P.
CB isn't a need now but that could change really fast. What happens if Mo keeps getting hurt and Carr keeps getting burned? If CB is BPA, I would except it.

We also need a 3rd guy that can play outside and inside. I don't think we should spend our 1st round pick on one but if thats BPA then I'm all for it.

He would have to be the second-coming of Revis. :D

I think Dallas should focus on the trenches/front seven for an impact player and look for solid CB prospects in the lower rounds.

This is such a deep draft that I think we could really do a lot for the future of our team with a trade down and getting a lot of picks.

I want as many DL and OL as possible. That is our shortcut to success.

I'm ok with another year of Wilcox, Heath, and Matt Johnson. A Safety will not make any difference in our chances next year so go ahead and bolster the lines.

If he is high on our board we take Donald if he is there. Rod wants rushMEN not rushman. He wants four guys getting after the qb, not just one. He doesn't want to rely on just one guy anymore to get the passer.

Just like the days of Jim Jeffcoat, Tony Tolbert, cCharles Hailey, Leon Lett. Or the Seahawks NASCAR defensive line.

Take the best player available. That's likely to be an OT, WR, LB, or DL.

There are plenty of draft picks; it doesn't end with #16, so you don't have to take another DL in round 1. We've signed 3 DL in FA now and may not be finished. We signed a 1-tech, a 3-tech, and a DE. We have Selvie returning and Crawford and Bass returning from injury. Spenser is still a possibility, along with other guys who played last year and are still on the roster.

Somewhere in the draft, I actually value CB more than Safety. Other than Pryor, I don't like this year's safeties, and we have nothing but questions after Carr and Scandrick. Questions abound with Claiborne and Webb.

CJ Mosely is a stud at ILB from Alabama, a 3-down ILB...considered a top 10-15 talent, but projected lower in the draft due to position and teams' needs. I'd be happy to pick him up, put him at MLB and move Lee outside to be our "Brooks".
