i would recommend reading the entire thread and not just one post before posting
i am not going to hold your hand

I have read plenty of this thread and my statement stands. He didn't say what you implied, period.

I think the captain set the course for over the water because all hope was lost. Maybe slowly losing consciousness. All communications failing. He may be a "hero" when all is said and done. But we may never know.

I fly for a living & pilots I work with said they feel it crashed in the ocean. We all hope not & it sure is a sad situation.

Out of curiosity, on a flight like this, are there parachutes on the plane? Let's say (I think you are implying this), that they lost cabin pressure, or some smoke ect, was entering the plane, rendering people unconscious, would people or pilots be able to evacuate the plane in mid-flight? I guess, where they sent the plane, might explain what you are getting at.

No parachutes on the flights I work.

One pilot I work with survived a plane crash & got back behind the controls as soon as he healed up.

I love flying & I've never been a bit scared even during rough skies but hearing about big liners crashing gets to everyone.

Still not buying it. Something isn't right here. I've read articles that NTSB would've thrown out that info from the investigation. Too many unanswered questions IMO.

At least there isnt anything made public. I have no clue where it is just like everyone else that only gets the spoon fed info from the media. The only thing we know is that we dont know.

I didnt hear what the General said so I cant comment on that. He apparently had reasons to say what he did and prob thot they were good reasons. My only point in the previous post was that its not necessary for him to backtrack or admit anything unless his theory is PROVEN wrong by credible evidence - of which Im betting you dont have, or anyone else.

um the evidence is from the satellites which say the plane is at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. What more is necessary?

I know why many can't buy that something bad just happened to the plane without anyone being at fault. However, there is NO credible evidence any group of bad people had anything to do with what happened to the plane. Who knows why it ended up where it did but there is nothing to suggest it is in Pakistan, being loaded up with weapons to attack the state of Israel, or anything of the sort. Something bad mechanically happened and the plane just crashed.

I do love though that unless someone can show that general is wrong, he doesn't have to apologize for categorically stating it is in Pakistan even though he had no basis to say it was in Pakistan in the first place.

Is that so? So after 17 days of story changes almost daily about what happened we now have some guy get up and say satellite evidence shows that it went down in the sea but China is demanding the data evidence apparently not going along with the newest story and we have nothing to confirm it other than some guy saying its so w/o offering any evidence and you ask "What more is necessary?"

Please show where I said I believed the General? Did I not say I didnt hear what he said? Did I not say he shouldnt admit he was wrong since there was no evidence to show he was wrong?

Reading comprehension was not a subject you did well in obviously. SMH

there is evidence to show he was wrong, you just choose not to believe it as it does not play into your terrorist boogeyman under your bed view of the world

I dont know the General. Didnt hear the General. Dont even really care what the General said. You however seem to be obsessed with the General.

My point, which you missed (SMH) is that we have gotten a different story almost daily. They NEWEST story proclaimed to be the end of the story is just that so far, a STORY. Until evidence is actually produced and available for people to see, how can anyone declare the mystery solved? It is in this context that I said the General has no need to admit being wrong. Nothing credible has been produced YET to disprove his theory or many other theories.

Looks like the pilot had a lot on his plate. His wife left him the day before and took the two kids and , by the way, he was having problems with his woman on the side. See link:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/flight-370-pilot-friend-shouldn-flying-article-1.1734998

The Malaysian gov't hasn't said who the pilot called before the flight. He made a call from near or in the cockpit to someone, in an area where he is forbidden to make a call.

Not exactly the type of person I'd want flying me around.

WPBCF, as you say, there is little credible evidence
therefore, no matter the general's theory, it is based on nothing

the point is that until there is evidence people like the general, whose title and uniform give them automatic credibility, should not be putting out hateful stuff that he has no basis for

there is a reason why media like fox news put on general so and so for their uninformed opinion
it lends them an aura of credibility

but that is likely too much to ask
