One of the Americans is from the Dallas are, so there is a possibility someone on here knows him...

It's beginning to look like we'll never know what really happened...

given a month has passed and no one on this board has stated that they do, highly unlikely.

we never will know, it is just one of those things that is unexplainable.

Yeah, with the clock ticking on black box batteries. I don't think they are close enough. Probably not within hundreds, maybe a thousand miles away?

Yeah... they are saying those batteries have less than ten days of life left if I heard correctly...

I still find it stunning that this could happen in this day and age.

This isn't 1964.

It also seems the story changes every day as well. Conspiracy theorists are becoming orgasmic about this.

The story changes, but the facts haven't. Of course no one knows the actual facts, which gives rise to those changing stories.

I hear you and want to go there too.... But.... Thousands of flights a day are successful so the goal isn't really to know where the plane is without a doubt if all things fail or are turned off. They would need a gps device in black box that could withstand a catastrophic event and then still give a signal from 2-7 miles under the ocean.

The cost would be crazy so I don't what it takes to "go there" for them?

I get what you're saying about one alternative type of technology. Maybe it is excessive. Maybe there are/is other ways of making sure something like this never happens.

I'm just waxing frustration about the whole event and how frustrated I would be about the situation if I had a family member on that flight.

This isn't flight 19 or the missing flight of combat troops on their way to Vietnam in '62... This is 2014 and I just can't wrap my head around something like this happening.

Completely agree.

interesting how some here were so willing to believe whatever the Malaysian government said just because it came from the government
(they would not put that out there otherwise!)

I suspect we will never know everything given the plane is likely never to be found.

They may never find it. Especially if the plane broke up (a lot) upon impact.

At some point, may happen after we all here are gone, they'll have an imaging device that will "show" the ocean floor no matter what the depth. And that will uncover a massive amount of these mysteries.

It's my understanding that plane is equipped with GPS type tech but the airlines has to pay extra to turn it on (I guess it works similar to onstar) and the Malaysians airline chose not to.

Yes but I still believe there is an issue when it goes under water. Then the depth too.

Where are all the posters that said the mystery had been solved? That all the evidence and satellites proved it? And that anyone who didnt go along with their narrative was basically ignorant, or even hateful ?

as usual nowhere to be found. Love canadian whining about that general; frankly he has about as much chance to be right as anything else.

CNN loves this though; it has been their lead story on their webpage since day one. They are milking this for all they can.

You mean the "hateful" General? :D

Oh yea, CNN loves this kinda stuff. With this they dont have to do any reporting on anything of importance and report honestly about whats going on.

It is clear where the plane is, the bottom of the ocean. It isn't in Pakistan, it isn't being loaded up with bombs to deliver to Israel etc.

Wow, nobody in the world can say where the plane truly is for sure, .. and yet, .. now from Canada, .. we have a report.

everyone with a brain knows it is at the bottom of the ocean, they just have not found it yet due to the ocean being a nightmare in that area

if you want to believe it is in Pakistan, Iran, North Korea or own backyard, feel free

I have never stated where it might be, .. nor would I ever speculate.

Experts from around the world can't locate it, .. why would I pretend to know?
