Update: Jackson, Commanders agree to terms

how did they have the money for this?

they don't.....not in the long run. Meh, it's a DUMPSTER fire in DC as usual. I can see them winning 8-9 games this season if things fall the right way. Then I can see SF or Seattle beating them by 26 pts. or more in the playoffs....proving nothing. Snyder is a narcissistic tool and that will never change.

The team we barely beat even when they're terrible and we're good just got a nice offensive weapon. Try to poo poo it all you want, we're in trouble right now in the division.

64–44–2

And we have beaten them the last two times we played them.

Moss plays us much better than that midget ever has.

Im not worried about DJAX... im worried that this will free up Garcon more. That is my fear.

The more I learn about Dan Snyder, the more thankful I am to have Jerry given the choice.

Well now imagine Moss with one more credible receiver to add to Garcon. This is going to be a nightmare trying to cover all three.

What are the terms?
Got this from a giants board

Mike Garafolo ‏@MikeGarafolo 9m
Three-year deal for DeSean Jackson with the Commanders. And it's apparently a whopper. We'll see what the numbers wind up being.

Its official now

Meh. I don't see a huge deal with it. I'm not sold on bob and question if he can stay healthy. Djax is a one trick pony who they probably just over paid. Their d is horrible and gave up more pts than ours I believe. Not to mention a new hc who no one knows how he will do. He had weapons in cinncy and they weren't any Juggernaut. After all said and done as of right now this division is up for grabs. We will see when it counts

and they signed Andre Roberts this offseason. On paper their offense looks very good. But the Commanders have won the offseason Super Bowl about 4 out of the past 7 years now...

Go Cowboys.

Jackson Continues Meeting With Commanders

Adam Schefter discusses the 49ers' interest level in DeSean Jackson if he doesn't sign with the Commanders.
The Washington Commanders and wide receiver DeSean Jackson appear to be moving closer to an agreement on a contract, sources told ESPN.

Jackson arrived in northern Virginia on Monday night and dined with members of the Commanders coaching staff, including coach Jay Gruden. He later went to a club with current Commanders cornerback DeAngelo Hall and wide receiver Pierre Garcon. Both players have publicly stated their desire for Jackson to join the Commanders, as has quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The Eagles came to the realization that releasing DeSean Jackson was a case of addition by subtraction, writes Ashley Fox.

"Very exciting player. Determined to show he is the best and hungry to win. My kinda guy," Griffin told ESPN's Britt McHenry.

Jackson met with the Commanders at their facility Tuesday.

The sides have yet to discuss contract numbers, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Philadelphia Eagles released Jackson on Friday, and the Commanders were the first team to schedule a visit with him. No other visits, however, have been announced. However, the San Francisco 49ers have a "real but guarded" interest Jackson, according to a league source.

Whats the big deal? We played against him as an eagle. Now a Commander. Same thing. Different team.

Skins have some decent receiving options.

Garçon, Andre Roberts, DeSean, Moss

Throw in Jordan Reed.

Aldrick looked like a speedster a while back. I'd take a look if he gets cut.

I'm not going to let my hate act like this isn't a good move. Will they overpay? Yes. Is Desean a one trick pony? Yes. But he's a good one trick pony and GREAT at what he does. Solid move by the Deadskins. Makes sense unlike the Hatcher move. But do I fear them now? No. I honestly felt the Eagirls offense had far more potential to be more of a threat in the 2nd year under Chip than this Deadskins offense will. But its a solid move. Which is rare for the Deadskins. But this by no means should put "fear" in the minds of the NFC East rivals.........

A more scary move would've been had they got a few defensive players here in there or if they had the 2nd overall pick in the draft.

The guy I think that's going to flourish most is Reed. The one no one is talking about.

Interested to see the cap hit.

Maybe the Dolphins draft a WR and release Michael Wallace late, we swoop in and get a La'Roi Glover level bargain on a better WR. Draft heavy on DL and add another CB. Sean Lee stays healthy. Carter and Mo step up. Resign Brian Waters. Glass half full! Glass half full!

Totally agree. Skins got much faster and better but I don't think they can move us off of 8-8. Hate the Skins but i know they are equal to or better than us talent wise and better on defense just because everyone is.

Jackson can still hang with his "homies" in philly now...I am convinced that his reasons for Washington are the following:

1a) Gets to play against Philly twice per year
1b) Gets to hang with his thug-family and continue his "gang" ties
3) Money

not worried about him or Washington

Cancel the season, the Skins just won the off season Super Bowl.
