I would agree. He looked solid once he took over the bulk of the snaps.

Looks like a very good pick only a year removed.
He was the player giving us the most trouble (poor S/LB play) outside of Moss making his routine big catch or two.

love to see the overspending on WRs. Washington wont be any better than last year. Book it.

They literally got DJaX in his prime for pennies, lol. That's almost an insult to injury having him play for the rival and it didn't even break Synder's pocket. The core of their offense is 27 and under........

I'm not going to let my hate act like this isn't a good move. Will they overpay? Yes. Is Desean a one trick pony? Yes. But he's a good one trick pony and GREAT at what he does. Solid move by the Deadskins. Makes sense unlike the Hatcher move. But do I fear them now? No. I honestly felt the Eagirls offense had far more potential to be more of a threat in the 2nd year under Chip than this Deadskins offense will. But its a solid move. Which is rare for the Deadskins. But this by no means should put "fear" in the minds of the NFC East rivals.........

A more scary move would've been had they got a few defensive players here in there or if they had the 2nd overall pick in the draft.

The guy I think that's going to flourish most is Reed. The one no one is talking about.

Very good Fantasy option this year :)

Where did you see that?
I heard the contract was pretty huge for a WR.

Are you nuts?

RG3, the guy who scorched us as a rookie, will be completely healed. Jordan Reed, who came out of nowhere will be completely healed. Garcon, who was the focus for secondaries, won't be tied up as much. There's still Alfred Morris to consider. Now there's Jackson and Roberts to worry about.

Their offense, on paper, is now vastly superior to the garbage they fielded in 2013.

Their defense will still be a joke, how much of a joke will depend on their draft selections and whether the rumors about Shanahan handicapping his defensive coordinator is true.

The only wildcard in this scenario is their new head coach. If he's awful, all of this is for naught. I can't imagine him being terrible, however, since his brother has probably been helping him make the transition during the offseason.

yes that is true. After my post I was surprised that Snyder got him at a reasonable rate. Still I think the Cowboys and Carr own his sorry ***

He's going to look super tiny in that uniform.

3 years, 24 mil (16 guarantee) for a top 10 WR isn't breaking their bank by any means. They've paid way more money for lesser, has-been talent in the past. The move makes me more concerned about Garcon than anything.......he's a baller with or without WR 2 help.

yes. I am nuts. Now stop your crying act. They signed a player who has done almost nothing vs Dallas take away 1 game. Bob Griffin has a lot more to prove after his rookie running year he now will have to prove he can make 2 reads and stay in the pocket. He really never has done it. Eat Fresh!

Yea I picked Desean late last year as I did RGIII. I hope I can sneak and get both of them late again this year. I have a feeling they are not going to be get you points every week type good but the potential to get points will be crazy.

per ESPN....3yr / $24mil $16mil guaranteed....Jerry should have a good idea of the market price for DEZ now.

Oh wow. Really props to the Deadskins then because I thought he was going to get a 60 million dollar deal from them. That's a very favorable deal.

Totally agree. Skins got much faster and better but I don't think they can move us off of 8-8. Hate the Skins but i know they are equal to or better than us talent wise and better on defense just because everyone is.

You're right. I'm hoping the Cowboys are better than we actually think they are going to be.

24 million for 3 years with 16 guaranteed is not cheap for this player.

Commanders offense can be elite now. RG3 was one of the best long ball throwers coming out of college. What Jackson brings to the table more than any other receive in league is his ability to open up space for other offensive players. So this signing means is Morris will have more room to run, RG3 has room to run and throw, Jordon Reed will have large swath of open space in middle of field and Garcon will be singled up. It will be huge challenge for defense because all of these guys are young and reaching their prime. This probably reignites RG3 who looked like he was on verge of losing his mojo last year. The division will be a fun one with three teams committed to offense and not much on defense (dal, phil, wash)

True. They didn't break the bank.
I don't think it was cheap though. "Fair" may be more like it.

Theres some serious poison in that locker room already when you have O-lineman that wont help the QB up and a QB's daddy showin up in the locker room. I havent heard anything to make me think Jackson will help that situation out and if ol Rubbber knee3 decides he don't like the HC again he'll have another ally in the locker room this time. But I'm sure they'll be able to get it together twice a year.

At least their defense still sucks.
Welcome to the club, I guess.

I don't see it as that big a deal really. Jackson has never been difficult to deal with aside from the occasional deep catch.

Really for me, I think this just takes catches away from Reed, who worries me more than Jackson or Garcon.

Desean Jackson? Hmmph, it's not like he's going to make a difference, we got the best corner back since Deon baby!

You have a point. Our db's take alot of heat but I think we've got 4 really good corners. Teams are typically not going to spread us out and pick us apart.
