Who Is The Best QB In The NFC East?

Eli will forever be remembered as having a better career than Romo, and beating him every time it mattered.

Eli has 2 rings and 2 SB MVPs, Tony has the reputation as possibly the biggest choker in NFL history.

I don't wish for that nor am I happy that is how it played out, but I'm also not going to live in a fantasy land.

It can all change with a "what have you done for me lately" Super Bowl win.

Just like that!

With the pedigree RG3 and Eli have for Romo to even be in the discussion is pretty darn good.
And that's what makes him better. For him to have the success he's having without the pedigree and the coddling ... he stepped up his quarterback game big time.

Romo's the most skilled passer? He was one of the worst deep ball QBs in the league last year. Noodle arm.

It's incredibly naive to write off RG3 after one season when he clearly was still recovering from a major knee injury. He's the most talented QB in the division, bar none.

lol lol lol lol lol...yeah right!

He was brilliantly clutch 2 more times than Romo.
Romo - un-clutch for at least 2 legit playoff runs

Eli 2-0 in the clutch
Romo 0-2 in the clutch

Get it right, or just be quiet!

Giants 2-0
Cowboys 0-2

This is not tennis!

Too late...you already are living in fantasy land! lol

Here is my list...

Eli...not injured.
Foles...not injured.

Romo...injured.
RG3...injured.

I put Romo above RG3 because of their injuries. RG3 has knees like a race horse, and those are your greatest assets to do anything in football. No knees and you are done. Can those bones hold up?

Romo has a bad back, or is coming off of back problems. But his legs should be fine. Romo is like a magician. He can escape if he needs to. But can he still throw. Will his back hold up?

But what is important to all these QB's is. Will their teammates give a hand to help.

Eli's team carried him most of the way to two SB's.

Foles is a brand new QB...on the eagles. So who cares? lol

Only 3 pages in this thread?

If the resident E-Lie Lovers Club members had chimed in we would be up to at least 7 or 8 pages.

That would be about 4 pages worth of the Rings Argument. The Clutch Argument. The games that Matter Most argument. Elimination games. Big TV audience games. Win or Go Home games. And it would still be Romo's fault that our DEFENSE hadnt got it done. It would be Romo's fault that Miles lost the ball in the lights and quit on his route. Or, somehow Romo would get the blame for Crayton. Every aspect of every Cowboys loss is on Romo while he gets little to no credit for any wins. E-Lie can throw 4 picks and still be Mr CLutch. Get credit for the 5 sacks his defense recorded.

If honestly think that if you took all four quarterbacks and put them on each other's teams you would easily see that Romo would do the most with the least.

Being that Foles and RG3 have such little NFL experience, I would have a hard time evening putting them in the discussion at this point. Both could be more talented than either Romo or Eli, that to me is debatable, but my personal opinions about quarterbacks aren't just based upon physical talent that is only been displayed at the NFL level for less than two years. Especially considering the major injuries that RG3 has had which all ultimately came before he even finished his first season as a NFL quarterback.

I can't think of any logical way you could say one quarterback is better than another because he played on a Super Bowl winning team. I can Surely see it being a huge positive for one quarterback to have over another but in no way would I allow that to be a major factor when comparing two quarterbacks unless they are very very close when it comes to the total package.

I do feel that all four are very close when it comes to discussing the total package in talent but again two of those packages have a long way to go when it comes to showing that they know how to grow beyond what talents they already have.

Every quarterback has their flaws and their weaknesses and for me it comes down to do the positives far outweigh their weaknesses.

In this case to me Tony's do. Eli's do as well to an extent, but when it comes down to it I view Eli as A quarterback who can make a very good team better but he cannot make an average team good. He's shown me that in those situations he typically makes those teams worse because when pressured he doesn't just collapse, he collapses, crumbles and makes you wonder if he's ever even played in the NFL before. He becomes a turn over machine which can single-handedly ruined a NFL season.

Romo has shown that he does turn the ball over at bad points in games, and that only gets magnified when it happens in an important ball game but he is also shown me that his level of play usually keeps his team in the game no matter & playoff hunt no matter what. Does he do it all by himself? No but he is one of the major reasons why this team, especially the last two years that has been decimated by injuries, has even had a shot at being in the playoffs & the NFC East title.
