Who Is The Best QB In The NFC East?

I was driving in to work toady and ESPN was saying there are grumblings in NY that Eli is on the decline.
They went on to correctly say that you cannot name any of the very top end QB (those being Brady, Brees, Rodgers, P Manning) that ever had a season like Eli did last year.

Of course the line was very bad there. But as we know, Tony has played with lines that bad for about half of his career...and some maybe worse...yet has never had a season remotely as bad as Eli had last year.
18 TDs
27 INTS
so TD-INT = - 9 (Romo's worst ever was a + 6..in his 1st year as a starter)
69.4 QB rating (Romo's worst ever was a 90.5)

That makes Mark Sanchez look brilliant.

Nevertheless, I'm not convinced Eli is in sharp decline, but I can see why some may be worried.

They were all over this on NFLN yesterday so that likely drove some of the conversation you heard. The case was made (and I believe) his best days are behind him.

Now he'll have a 42TD, 11INT year with a 106.7 QB rating em route to the NFC Championship Game.

Romo is the most skilled passer of all of them but it's hard to deny Eli because of his big games and championships he has had in the past.

I would rather have Romo but if im in an elimination game give me Eli over any of them.

Romo's the most skilled passer? He was one of the worst deep ball QBs in the league last year. Noodle arm.

It's incredibly naive to write off RG3 after one season when he clearly was still recovering from a major knee injury. He's the most talented QB in the division, bar none.

Just went back and watched the Broncos game again after all this time. Watching it without the emotions of a live game, I have to say it is one of Tony's best performances ever. Other than the late interception, which wasn't really his fault, he was unreal. I'd take him over the other 3 any day. JMO

He was brilliantly clutch 2 more times than Romo.
Romo - un-clutch for at least 2 legit playoff runs

Eli 2-0 in the clutch
Romo 0-2 in the clutch

We re talking about now and I was talking the most recent year, last year.

And even if you are talking about the past, Eli (and team...not playing tennis hear) deserves great credit for two great playoff runs. But he (and team) were also one and done three other years.

Last year, Dallas beat NY both times and in the second game, Romo led a pretty clutch ending to a road win in NY.

Anyway, we're getting into tired old discussions now; team vs individual player, past vs present, etc. I won't deny those two playoff runs by the Giants and Eli.

So Eli is 2 of 5 in playoff runs. I would take one.

I hear ya man. I don't like that it went down that way. Just want Romo to have at least one Eli run is all.

I'm not writing off anyone but RG3's 1 decent year really doesn't make him the best QB in the division. Sorry.

Most talented? Fine. He's not currently the best though. Probably last.

And Josh Freeman is visiting the Vagiants today. Wow, thats the way to put the pressure on E-Lie.

E-Lie was exposed big time last year. Not much clutch when it mattered and there was nobody to pick up the slack.

Eli will forever be remembered as having a better career than Romo, and beating him every time it mattered.

Eli has 2 rings and 2 SB MVPs, Tony has the reputation as possibly the biggest choker in NFL history.

I don't wish for that nor am I happy that is how it played out, but I'm also not going to live in a fantasy land.
