Carter doesn't appear to be anything close to a leader on this team.
I don't say this as a fact- I couldn't know for a fact, but there is zero evidence that he's even attempting to step up in that regard and maybe he feels like he needs to prove himself before attempting to throw weight, which I would understand.

Church has stepped up though. He is, if not THE leader, one of the guys the players will look to when the going gets tough.

We shall see who else steps up and, for me at least, that's one of the reasons to be excited. Hopefully more leaders (I hope Melton) show their colors and this D steps it up big-time.

Right now it's all hope though.

I like his demeanor, but that's based off interviews and he's seems pretty pissed to have to do those in the first place.
