These circumstances seem so cherry picked it becomes ridiculous.
THAT'S the beauty of it. THAT'S what pisses people off. THAT'S what players may carry in the back of their minds. And perhaps that's what will stop the next tragedy from happening before it occurs. Life is precious. Jerry Brown is never coming back. But not knowing whether a suspension will be two months, six months, a year or more may make ONE player think at some future point, "You know what? I can't drive. You're sober. You drive me home." Then... :) somebody else's Jerry Brown... a husband, brother, father, son, cousin, whomever... may enjoy a boring night living instead of going to the morgue.

Since this one was asserted without an argument, it can be dismissed with just a "nope."

I would encourage you to look at opinions of Leonard Little and Stallworth from past posts and then try to say that what team the guy plays for doesn't matter.

There were some who were in Risen's position (relative to the board), but by and large the opinions on those two were not favorable.

Nothing has been announced right? This argument makes it sounds like it has already been determined that he is suspended. Did I miss something?

That is all warm and great; let him re-earn his respect on another team.

A midseason DL of Spencer-Melton-Brent-Lawrence will probably be much more effective than the slop we saw last night.

Yeth, my Super bowl hopes are buoyed by the expected return of Brent.
But first the parade for Josh Brent and then citizen of the year festivities.
o_O

Seriously, if Mothers Against Drunk Driving does not show up at the first home game I will lose all respect for that organization. Or maybe Jerra can also pay off MADD to not show up.

If I were Jerry Jones or Roger Goodell, I could give you better response. But, with absolute respect mind you, I'm some silly guy with a movie title for an avatar, and all I can say is tough luck. :)

ok, just confused on what is considered a DWI, always thought only alcohol and DUI's were pills, substances, etc along with booze but less of it.

MJ is RARELY the sole source of guilt relating to a DUI; why I felt the need to point out and evidenced if needed.

MADD is a very committed organization. Don't they show up for every high profile situation like Brent's?

Me too:D Was saying that with liking your posts. Smart guy not above himself. I'm wrong all the time but it doesn't take much to have a problem with this:D
No argument there from me. I just hope all of Josh Brent's peers across the league feel the exact same way as you do.

That is the hope, that they'd show up.
If Jerra's conscience doesn't suffice then maybe MADD can get him to examine his further.

Yeah, we've had felons on our team before (haven't we??) but maybe it is time to restore the luster of the star and include only good guys instead of marginal, law-breaking guys for the expediency of a farfetched playoff run or Super bowl. Both of which won't happen this year if the experts are to be believed.

Ray Rice could also spell Murray and Ray Rice could half mentored Sean Lee, but that doesn't means I would be comfortable halfing them on the Cowboys.
These are the days when kids get kicked off of teams -- forever -- for doing da chronic or DWI but in the pros, I guess being a felon is a sign of street cred. That is not what ah want for the Cowboys. Otherwise we are just as bad and low as the Raiders or Ravens.

That is true. But not everyone is high on other intoxicants. There may be data out there for that.

Correction not Ray Rice but Ray "Tha Killah" Lewis could half mentored Sean Lee.

So you're teling me you NEVER had a few drinks and driven, not even in your youth?

What about running a red light? Ever done that?

Have you ever tail gated someone?

I hope your reality meets the vigor of your self-righteousness, because what happend to Brent could have happend to anyone who has done any of those things while driving. He made an grevious error and paid for it with his freedom and his conscience. Jerry Brown's family supports his return to football, I think it's ok if you don't.

Dear hoser prosecutor: I half run afoul of the law in mein youth, yes.
I half never driven drunk, been speeding and kilt someone.

I hope that answers your question, hoser prosecutor.

He's paid for his crime? Really? Well, maybe according to the law he's paid for his crime. If Jerray Brown's family supports his return to football, well, let him start. And I am sure Jerra will welcome more personal suggestions from the Brown family.

Jerra's too busy with road lizards attached to his neither regions to worry about Brent.
