you will see that

1. Defense held the Niners offense to zero pts in second half

2. Offense ended the day on a good note by putting an effective drive together and getting another TD

So what looked like was going to be a 51-3 game 2 hours ago only turned out to be 28-17 which is a good thing headed into next week. After a loss, if the defense and offense ended on a good note, then that should make us all feel good going into next week. Anyone agree?

And then, you will hold on ever so tightly to the anvil as you step over the edge.

even if we won today it still would have met NOTHING. The NFL season is a marathon not a sprint

It does matter. You lose 4 preseason games and look sloppy. Your first game shows the same. Stats show a significant low percentage in 25 years of teams that lose all preseason games and make playoffs. Add stats about 0-1 teams and it shows a trend. We have issues that aren't solved ... Even on offense. So to excuse one game and say there are 15 more is just putting your head in sand. I've been a fan since 75, not 88 so the proof is in the pudding. There has to be a drastic change just to fix these things. I'm not being negative, just reality. My fear was D. I've supported Romo and thought O could take advantage today. Problems on both sides.

Some fail to realize that there are only 16 games, everyone is just as important as the next. Yes, the season isn't over week one but each win counts the same, no matter when they occur.

Lol.... New season and these threads already popping up.

Guys.... This is what Jason Garrett teams look like. It won't get better consistently

The defensive playcalling is horrendous too. We give offenses too much space and we do t react until the ball is thrown.

Romo looked completely unprepared for the season also.

Unlike JG, Harbaugh is a good coach that knows how to finish games.

He wasn't going do anything stupid by throwing the ball all over the place when he pretty much knew he had the game won.

All NFL teams give a lot of space, it's called......."NFL Style of Defense". That's why if you don't get pressure up front you are done

Bottom line is, With MO "I love to grab" Claiborne, and his henchmen. We aren't going to be pretty good. We need our offense to be potent. I'm sorry but so far Romo does not look the same, and we have the same identity. "Shoot thy self in the foot"

What? 16 games is absolutely a sprint. This isn't like baseball or basketball.

Eagles started 3-1 two years ago and didn't make the playoffs. See what I mean about september football? Believe the Cardinals started 4-0 in 2012 and missed the playoffs.

It is too early to get caught up in wins and losses

The Seahawks started 4-0 last year and won the super bowl. If wins and losses don't matter, then what does?

What does one random stat that has nothing to do with what I explained matter? You whiffed. The stats I posted are pure fact and are based on losing records not a random 3-1 record. Keep spinning. On TV today they mentioned the 0-1 fact.

"Of the 29 NFL teams that have gone winless in the preseason, only five turned it around in the regular season and made the playoffs. Of those 29, 16 went on to have losing records. I’m not saying pre-season results are a direct predictor of regular-season performance. But history said it’s at least a decent hint of what to expect."

I am saying it's september and wins and losses don't mean much when it's still summer time, get me?

Sorry, but that statement makes no sense.

Every game counts the same, especially when you lose the division by 1 game and you lost 2 games during September...................if you lose all of your September games, your December games mean draft position...........got me.

The 49ers didn't beat The Cowboys today. The Cowboys beat themselves. (insert pubescent jokes here _______) That's the worst kind of losses.

How is it a stupid stat? It's a real fact based stat. ESPN didn't make it up. Just like the preseason wins. Stats are used for a reason. They show trends. Your response is comical considering it represents a truth that was posted before any games were played and was not pointed at any team. Sorry but cherry picking some random things when we were down 25 is more random and inane.

My point is this, we win next week and the eagles lose on MNF to the colts, we both 1-1
