Ugly post.
I have railed against the guy myself as have 80-90% of the posters here.

I'm glad you feel so good about this.

I hate it. I wish he could have been that guy that deserved being the 6th pick along with the trade up.

I don't feel good about being right about the guy,
And neither should YOU.

I don't care about players who give minimal effort on and off the field. This guy has shied away from too many practices and too many tackles for my liking. It was "cool" to hate on Jenkins for the similar attributes but this guy gets a pass? Please...

He's a ******.

Every fan will doubt a pick or think a pick will bust. It's inevitable. But to actually how it occurs so you can be right... Smh.

Can you imagine this guy playing for Parcells?

I think most coaches tolerate these sorts of competitive outbursts, if they're relatively contained. See Parcells' handling of Antonio Bryant's jersey-throwing tantrum. The bigger question is how Mo handles the demotion from here on out. Does he go in the tank, or does he come back and compete better.

I can't tell you how vindicated I feel about this guy.

I don't know that it's fair to say he's given minimal effort.

The kid can't play, and he has been killing us for sometime now. One of the worst draft choices in club history.

And believe it or not, but he is the sixth most expensive player on our team this year.

What is even worse is that the Cowboys guaranteed Claiborne's entire contract, so even if we cut him next year, we still end up with the same salary cap ramifications. Best case scenario we can trade him for a player in a similar situation.

I agree with you that he already knew how poorly he was playing. Which is why I would argue Jones had no need to say anything. Ever had someone say out loud what you already knew about yourself and was eating you up? If Mo knew about the Jones interview, it may explain his reaction. If he didn't know about it, then maybe he just didn't take the demotion well. Either way it is behind us now. Scandrick and Sterling Moore need have a very good game for us to have a chance.

All I can hope for now is that Clai has a coming to Hay-soos moment and redirects his career with everything he's got.

That's about it now.

They should try to trade Dolores Claiborne to the Lions.

This is Dallas' opportunity.

Despite if the story is true or not, Jerry has every right to come out and say that Claiborne is essentially a bust. I'm not sure why people are somehow shifting the blame from Mo to Jerry or saying that Jerry should have kept his mouth shut. JG wasn't going to do it, so why the hell not? This organization coddles players at every stop, and the owner came out today and told you what you already know about Morris Claiborne. Why is that wrong?

I know what you're saying Dave, but at some point a "kick-in-the-pants" is warranted.

The guy has been soft. I can't think of any other word that describes him better than that. And his behavior after being demoted falls right in line with that.

I get it. I just think that it might not have been the same reaction if Jones would have just kept quiet. I can't prove it was the reason he was that upset but I can't say it wasn't either. We may still need this kid, what's his state of mind going to be if we do?

I'd rather root for a player's success- thus helping the team than celebrating failure.

I'm still not sure how you got "vindication" though.
Did someone pee in your Wheaties over your opinion of him?

Same here. I hope he gets it together. We could use that.

Love the defense of this clown here. Do we really need him against NO? Guys like Brian? Quick were blowing past him this past Sunday. Claiborne couldn't play in the CFL. I'd rather see Moore get time in the nickel and Patmon get some run.

Don't care about Mo's wonderlic score, but his attitude about the test told me all I needed to know about this turd. And Johnnie Walker Jones still drafted him, even traded up too. Smh

Opportunity for what?

To swap him for another first round bust? Cannot see one like him on the Lions roster.
