News: ESPN: Claiborne demoted, skips walk-through

Just by the guy who called him out. A drunk child chasing moron.:)

As I posted to Bluestang... Jerry has almost universally praised players up & beyond their abilities and contributions to the team. He very rarely calls out a player and when he does there has to be a very good reason.

lol. You're guessing wrong, but is this where we insert all the team sports we played, and how many awards we won doing it, and how long ago it all was? Now, let me send it back your way, did YOU play team sports? I mean the real ones, not little league.

Played football all the way through four years of college. If I was his teammate and he pulled this crap I would ask him what is problem was. This is the ultimate team game and has no place for selfish players that have a dimented view of their skill set. He is being a selfish brat and is being anything but a team player. Period.

Like Moose has said on the air - adversity doesn't build character it exposes it. Or in this case, a lack there of.

I can't tell you how vindicated I feel about this guy.

If you played as you say you did, then I know you have been in a locker room full of personalities that run the spectrum. You have laid back guys, high strung guys, guys who can roll with a punch, guys that are full of pride and don't take an ego shot very well BUT ARE GOOD GUYS at heart..... just give them a few to recover. If you really played (and I'm not doubting you did), then you know what I'm saying is true. So, lets see where Mo is tomorrow.

Yeah he totally screwed the pooch on this player in the draft. Where does he say THAT?

Cornerback Morris Claiborne skipped the Cowboys' walk-through practice and angrily left the club's Valley Ranch training facility Tuesday after being informed that Orlando Scandrick was replacing him in the starting lineup, multiple sources told ESPN.

The Cowboys could fine Claiborne for missing the practice or conduct detrimental to the team.

Claiborne's demotion came a few hours after Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show that the third-year cornerback had not been worth the sixth pick of the 2012 in the draft, which Dallas moved up to acquire.

'Bout time.

I am not disagreeing with you that he has played poorly at times. Nor am I disagreeing that he might end up being a bust. Nor am I disagreeing that if Mo doesn't come back and make this right, that he isn't a team player. I'm saying, I don't think the owner should have called him out today, and I'm saying lets give it a day and see where it stands.

r, we have no idea what's gone on in the background, but I think he's been coddled to the extreme. Personally when he pulls the annual "Hey, I'm hurt and I can't play in the preseason and when he eventually does, his play is substandard... I'm betting a whole lot of his teammates simply roll their eyes at the guy now.

Coddling hasn't worked with him. A kick in the pants may.

Better than being wrong. Seriously starting to think a group of five of us on CZ would do a better job than Jerry Jones.
It is the height of arrogant stupidity to claim you were right or wrong on a draft pick "from the moment it happened."

To be in here crowing...oh lawd.

Jerry is prolly just really pissed off about how this pick is shaking down and let loose. To be honest, Jerry should leave the player comments to the coach. After three years of Mo's crap I think calling him out is long overdue. The kid is a waste regardless of what the outcome of his actions are.

I absolutely love Jerrys strategic correction. Way to call an almost an almost.

Jerry was absolutely wrong. This may be the worst thing he has ever said/done. You just don't come out like that as an owner. Not during the season. not before a big game. Not ever.

That said, Mo really shot himself in the foot. He had a chance to show he was willing to work and get better. Now it's all just lip service. I would almost guarantee another "injury" for him now.

You might be right Mike. I'm anxious to see how this all plays out.
