Yeah he totally screwed the pooch on this player in the draft. Where does he say THAT?

The errant draft pick is one problem.

BUT it's still up to the player to come in and play up the level you're capable off.

The kid has some skills, but he seems to lack intestinal fortitude.

Jerry was absolutely wrong. This may be the worst thing he has ever said/done. You just don't come out like that as an owner. Not during the season. not before a big game. Not ever.

That said, Mo really shot himself in the foot. He had a chance to show he was willing to work and get better. Now it's all just lip service. I would almost guarantee another "injury" for him now.

Jerry fed Mo some hot sauce and Mo winced. No more coddling the baby. Man oh man. This is music to the old ears.

really? you blame jerry for this and nothing else. the guy sucks. keeping him on the field is lying to him about it. a lot of the problems are from his technique and he has shown poor technique. and its not fair to the rest of the team to have to deal with him because he is the 6th pick of the draft. if jerry did one thing right. its this.

Well said...

Don't want to play? Moore and Patmon... come on down!

I'm sorry but I just have very little patience for this sort of thing. The team could get along fine without you.

Having said that, I'm sure he'll come back and make up.

r, we have no idea what's gone on in the background, but I think he's been coddled to the extreme. Personally when he pulls the annual "Hey, I'm hurt and I can't play in the preseason and when he eventually does, his play is substandard... I'm betting a whole lot of his teammates simply roll their eyes at the guy now.

Coddling hasn't worked with him. A kick in the pants may.

I agree with this. It just didn't need to be done the way it was (the comments from Jerry).

If you played as you say you did, then I know you have been in a locker room full of personalities that run the spectrum. You have laid back guys, high strung guys, guys who can roll with a punch, guys that are full of pride and don't take an ego shot very well BUT ARE GOOD GUYS at heart..... just give them a few to recover. If you really played (and I'm not doubting you did), then you know what I'm saying is true. So, lets see where Mo is tomorrow.

I hear what you are saying but this isn't college or little league. This is the NFL where he is getting paid millions of dollars to perform and act professional. I think the issue is that he is coming to the realization that he is just not good enough to be successful at this level and people are mirroring this sentiment openly. A person that is physically weak and mentally weak has no business playing in this league. Especially at CB.

Some people have said that Jerry coddles players. This is mostly true but he has definitely called players out.

He called out Jenkins, Ware, Bennett, Ratliff, Barber...

Well, since we are on the subject of tapping out...

I LOVE the acquisition of Ro McClain
I LOVE what he has shown when he has played

Is anyone else concerned about the number of practices the guy misses and as soon as he plays a whole game it seems that he is hurt? Concerns unwarranted?

I don't disagree but after coaching kids for 20 plus years I have learned the ones that are hard on themselves don't need any help
making it harder. Especially from a guy who has failed so miserably for almost 20 years at his job. Mo said stuff about himself that most guys won't, then Jerry took it to another level AFTER JG had his say. But that's what jerry does I guess to make himself feel better about his own failures.

Called out a certain defensive lineman in a way that almost got him knocked out.

Spagnola has been defending him big time lately and getting in to arguments with Broaddus about him on Talkin' Cowboys. It will be funny to see Spags do a complete 180 and bash him tomorrow.

1. He's the owner, not the coach. He needs to keep his mouth shut about such things.
2. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Blabbing to the media like he did is absolutely the wrong way. You do it behind closed doors and move on. Jerry insulted the guy to the national media. That is NEVER the right way to handle it. Not even the hardest hard-nosed coaches in the NFL would have played it like that.

I've been a Mo supporter but this just tells me he is weak minded not stupid and that's why all the little injuries are always bothering him. Why don't you accept the challenge and win your job back

Also, my college coach would have punted his *** for doing this. My coach had zero time for any "pre-Madonnas" and would throw a saddle on a guy with that attitude and ride him.

I'm curious to hear the details from someone other than Jean-Jacques Taylor.

Well, in the article, it said Calvin Watkins (who primarily covers the Rangers now) and Todd Archer contributed to the story. Most of the stuff in the article was regurgitated, so like you we'll see what other reports suggest.

That said, the media's pretty much running with the Taylor-led story and commenting along those lines.
