My coach always stressed team through thick and thin. His reasoning was that with the game on the line you wanted guys that were physically and mentally tough and last but not least, dependable. He would have no patience for a guy when the time gets tough he turns his back on the team and runs. You want guys that have the team first and have each others back through thick or thin.

According to some Mo got torched all day Sunday but he was able to keep thick skin and make what could arguably be the best two plays on defense the whole game. I'd say he was mentally really tough Sunday. Tough enough to safe the teams *** in the end.

Maybe your coach would have (you would know, not me). I had coaches that seemed to know which buttons to push, and they rode certain guys, and encouraged others, (or worse yet), went silent. When its really bad is when they stop caring.

To the point that when we were seniors he gave all of us seniors a plaque with the poem - Man in the Glass. Mo should have a hard time looking at himself right now. I like the fact that he manned up after the game for his poor play but walking out today when things didn't go his way is unforgivable IMO.

Surely Claiborne isn't that upset about what Jerry said. It just wasn't that bad. I'm sure losing his starting spot is a much bigger deal to Mo.

Having said that, I wish Jerry would shut the **** up. The coach should be the only one talking about that with the media.

Mo didn't start Sunday.

Its disrespectful. Period. Benching the guy is enough.

Great opinion but, of course, I completely disagree. Excellent timing on Jerry's part. Mo can still provide value in a slot role if he were to take the criticism and create a positive outcome. As noted, he didn't start off on the right foot (again). Skipping mandatory functions is childish. Good thing I'm not running things there. I would cut his sorry blankety blank blank.

Then he is even more unintelligent. A third CB plays, a lot. It is almost cosmetic when you look at teams like the Saints and what packages they run.

Wait, so this is not one of those "he owns the team, he can do whatever he wants" moments?

Then the blame should be even heavier on the GM and front office. They didn't do their due diligence.

The trade wasn't good.

I think it's darned difficult to tell which players are going to give that extra 10% that separates them from the players getting cut before the start of the season. And with the "star" college players I think it's even harder.

Maybe if he was even half way serviceable the first 58 minutes he wouldn't need to make a play at the end.

He is not dependable. The only thing you can depend on is him missing his jam, losing his man in coverage and being a total nonentity in run support.

It's funny that you would expect JG to do this.

Im pretty sure he got mad because they told him Moore would be the 3rd CB.

That's the thing right there.

And maybe if he practiced/played more in the preseason he would be better prepared during the season.

I was speaking to those claiming his mental make up is bad. In this day and age teams know what they are getting beforehand.
JJ might have gotten taken on this deal. He would never admit that because he's got such a great football mind and all.

You forgot complaining to the refs everytime he gives up a big play when no one ever touches him.
