LOL, those are snippets taken out of context.

Once again, Jerry only speaks the truth when it fits your agenda.

We had one of the worst defenses of all time and the high flying offense shot nothing but blanks in their own house last year when we beat them. Garrett has had his share of issues but lets not put Kelly on some pedestal like he's the new breed of NFL coaches that'll be the future of the NFL.

People are quick to give Garrett a hard time even after a win, yet the deficit Philly lost by was actually more than they scored and people want to act like Kelly is still the better coach. Had we lost by 30+ people would still call for Garrett's head.

I know he hasn't taken us to the playoffs but anyone can see where this team is much improved from the three previous ones he's had.

The line is built to his liking and what he's always wanted; a run first attack similar to what he saw in his tenure here in the 90's as a player.

The defense has more quality players that are playing their tails off and have out produced our team's defense from the past 3 seasons and is doing it without Ware, Lee and Hatcher. When people saw the subtraction of these 3 we were written off to have a rebuilding year and probably have a defense worse than last year. You can thank RM for scheming designs to keep players in position to succeed, but the overall leadership of Garrett can be factored in to that equation. Especially those who were quick to blame Garrett when our defense faltered in the past.

If you think players aren't responding to his style look at that locker room post game. Look how Dez lifted the man after a game. You can't tell me this coach doesn't have the respect of the players.

I'd take Garrett anyday of the week over Chip and I hope we resign him for the long haul for two reasons. One, because he has helped with the roster being overturned on top of our salary cap mess. Two, to piss off some of you who hate on this coach.

You can look at the past all you want, but I feel good about where this season is going and I'm even more stoked where this team is headed down the road.

The question is - if Wade wanted a new person running his offense, could he have gone to Jerry and gotten that done?

I think everyone here knows the answer is no. Wade was stuck with Garrett, while Garrett as head coach is already on his third different play caller in 3 and a half years.

My friend, you have owned this thread and anyone who is not looking through their rose colored HD glasses can see that. I imagine all the Garrett homers were Campo homers at one time also. They believe because he is the coach of their beloved Dallas Cowboys, he deserves their unwavering support no matter what. Realist like you and me just call them like we see them!

If you want to stay in vogue, or want to get "likes" from the posters that don't like where the team is heading, just go ahead and say, "Chip Smelly is way better than Garrett"....you will be so loved by the haters of this team!

If you think Chip is better than Garrett, do yourself a favor...go to the eagles forum. They would love you there!

(actually you might have just come from there)!

True you call it the way you see it. I have no issue giving Garrett credit I also had no issue saying he should be fired at the end of last season. I have no control over any moves and once Jerry choose to have Garrett coach in his last year of his contract there was nothing more to do than to see what would happen. What has happened is this team is sitting at 7-3 coming off a bye looking fairly healthy with a legit chance to make a run. If Garrett and this team fail he will deserve all the heat coming his way but I refuse to pout like some child when I don't get my way and belittle any and everything Garrett does because of some personal grudge.

Would you hate on the Colts, Patriots, Packers, or Broncos coaching if their starting franchise QB's went down and they barely won?

That statement is stupid because any team that is an actual contender that loses it's starting QB is likely going to have a lot of trouble.

The Cards are getting by right now cause of outstanding D and special teams play. They better hope that never slips because Drew Stanton has proven to be incredibly inconsistent.

Any of those other teams mentioned would become failures without their starters as well.

And, btw, that goes for Chip Kelly as well who lost his starter and that helped to watch his genius offense get humbled on Sunday.

Most teams will suffer when your starting QB goes down. That goes without saying. My point was that if a team that JG built is so great like OP is implying, you should at least be able to win some games with your backup QB. You should at worst win the games against inferior opponents.

Patriots have won 11 games when Brady went down with their backup QB. Nineties Cowboys team did it and even went to the playoffs when Aikman was hurt.

AZ has done it all year long this year. Yes EaGirls got blown out at GB but I doubt they would have done much better with Foles. They did however win soundly against the Panthers with Sanchez the week before.

Unlike those teams, we had to fly our starting QB with two broken back bones to London and have him play almost the full game against the worst team in the league.

Dooms, I agree with you. Garrett has done a decent job so far this year but the premise of this thread is that Garrett is so much better than Kelly and based on what they have both done so far I just don't see it.

Not my fault the truth hurts. People will take a stand and they will give credit to the devil before they would even attempt to give any credit to Garrett. I own no dog house, if you can get things turned around and get this team winning then great I back you 100% Things do not have to be done my way, I have views and opinion like anyone else but not so high on my opinion to close off all other by those who make the decisions

Neither have done anything to fight over and mentioned that early in the thread. People claim Garrett walked into a winning team, he didn't he took over as HC to a team who had just given up and quite on the Wade Phillips. Since Jason has taken over many changes in players has also taken place. Guys who did not seem very concerned about winning were shown the door and now we have the 2nd youngest team in the NFL and showing positive signs.

You mean like going 5-3 with Kitna and McGee at QB?

Except for Wade. They couldn't wait to run him out of town and let boy genius take the reigns.
