Adam Schefer reporting Murray intends to sign; no contract signed by Mathews

They were waiting for this shoe to drop. I doubt they thought he would twist in the breeze for several days.

They had to see what happened to Murray before they could move on. They'll sign RoMac today and possibly a pass rusher

I have a feeling that if (and i dont say we will) sign hardy we wont overpay.
For one because that is our strategy and second: if hardys of the field problems werent a concern he would have been signed already.

I do too. My gut tells me we offer a one-year $8 million deal with the promise to look into a long-term deal that works for both sides.

With our Olines ability to block and CJ Spillers ability once he gets to the 2nd level it could be a deadly combo.

I think he'd kill it here.

I'm still not convinced he's going, but what would the Eagles have to pay if the Cowboys are willing to go up to 6mill considering there is no state income tax?

It's confirmation that Chip Kelly's squad is serious about adding Murray despite locking up early-down hammer Ryan Mathews on Wednesday.
To this point, per Rapoport, the Raiders have made the highest offer. Teams showing real interested in Murray doesn't end there, though. The Jaguars "have long been working" on getting a deal done with the running back, while Rapoport has noted the Cowboys have been "waiting if anyone shows real interest before they decide to pop in and make a final push."

I would not count Jerry and the Cowboys out

Smartest move by Jerry...ever. Loved Murray but EVERYTHING points to his numbers digressing. Look at it this way, you just got back from a kick butt summer where you rented a Porsche, drove around the country and drove the crap out of the car. You turn it into the rental car place, laugh on your way out & say to yourself...'I feel sorry for the poor soul whom has to drive that car next.' Enjoy the car Philly....

I wouldn't count on that happening today. I don't think we sign anyone until at least Saturday, unless it's the FB they brought in last night.

Ok understand this Romo and the passing games ability to convert 3rd downs allowed us to remain very patient. Murray was great but he did not carry the Cowboys on his back. He was a very important cog.

Phillip Tanner is flipping out on twitter right now talking about smoke screens and stuff and saying quote "It's amazing how u can put "from a source" in your tweet and that makes it 100% true lol Open your eyes & do your own research #TheBusiness"

Take it how you want.

Bingo. The biggest key to our offense was Romo's ridiculously good 3rd down conversion rate.

any player who accounts for 40% of you offense is more than a cog.

This is a win/win for all parties. DeMarco is a injury guy that had a record year. This is his last contract before 30 and he is getting the money. Cowboys had plan and stuck with it and now can use it elsewhere. I am fine with both!

I bet my consistent stance over the last year of "DeMarco Murray's next contract will be one the team regrets" will become real popular now.
