Realistic fallback RB trade option

Patriots won the Superbowl with SIX running backs throughout the year, the panic about the need for going out for a running back is getting ridiculous,,, the Cowboys have a 1st rounder in Mcfadden, a 2nd rounder in Williams, a 5th rounder in Randle and a free agent signing in Dunbar...and the Cowboys signed a developmental back in Days out of GT last night as a UDFA...I think the Cowboys will be fine....

Fans are acting like we have Troy Hambrick type backs as our only option at running back for the CBoys.

Agreed. Randle had almost 6 ypc. Williams was a 2nd round pick. McFadden has averaged over 5 ypc during one season.

These are the same level of dregs the team brought in on the defensive line two years ago.

Thank you for bringing some sense to this nonsense.

Patriots are also a passing team. While on the other hand we run the ball first then pass. They had six runningbacks. How many do we have? Mcfadden is a damaged goods. I doubt he'll last the entire season. Williams hasn't played since 2011. Randle is nothing more than a backup. Doubt he can run the ball even 15 times a game. Dumbar? Nope.

We need more than six runningbacks right now. We should have taken a flyer on a few during the draft. We should have traded for a bruiser. I heard the Rams were open for a trade for a runningback. But no. Jerry says anyone can run behind our oline.

Yes I'm concerned that about that position. Im concerned because the Cowboys FO are in denial thinking it isn't a problem. I believe it is. We can't last this season why the runningbacks we have now.

All interesting names...

3 names that wouldn't need to be traded for:

-Steven Jackson
-Knowshon Moreno
-Chris Johnson

Moreno tore his ACL last October, so it's been 6 months since it was repaired and we have another 3 months before training camp.

Chris Johnson averaged 4.3 ypc last season for the Jets.

Steven Jackson average 3.7 ypc behind a dreadful Falcon OL.

I specifically excluded these older guys and focused on younger options. But yes, if things get really bad they are options.

Are anyone of these guys truly better than what we have now.....

Forte behind our line would be better than Murray last year... but Bears won't trade him. Moreno makes sense but don't see it happening.

People are terrified about going into the season without "a name" at rb.

I call it fantasy football syndrome.

Yes, Madden and FF created more Internet GM's than ever before.
I don't recall too many people touting Murray as the next great RB when he was drafted.
Was considered a guy that could develop into a starter.
