Forte behind our line would be better than Murray last year... but Bears won't trade him. Moreno makes sense but don't see it happening.

I think if this RB situation crashes and burns, I doubt anybody is brought in. That would be an admission that they were wrong.

I think we are going to be better at RB. Less fumbles. Less yards left on the field. Tons more long runs. Some of us will be laughing at Philly for paying Murray that much money when he goes down. And the CZ naysayers will be pissed.

The gloom and doom and short-shortsightedness people are putting on our running back situation is hilarious.

What is more hilarious is people trying to talk up a scrub like McFadden as a legit RB

The Raiders chose to sign Trent Richardson over McFadden...........do you know how bad you have to suck for an NFL team to say "I want Trent Richardson over you".

That is quantum mechanics level of suckage right there.

Patriots won the Superbowl with SIX running backs throughout the year, the panic about the need for going out for a running back is getting ridiculous,,, the Cowboys have a 1st rounder in Mcfadden, a 2nd rounder in Williams, a 5th rounder in Randle and a free agent signing in Dunbar...and the Cowboys signed a developmental back in Days out of GT last night as a UDFA...I think the Cowboys will be fine....

Why are we comparing ourselves to the most successful franchises in the last 15 years?

I think they have something up their sleeve and that's why they didn't reach for a RB. They have probably done an in depth study of every roster and know veteran RBs will be available later if they don't like what they have. I'm not worried until about 2 weeks before week 1.

Hmm so by that logic since the Raiders chose to give away Moss instead of keeping him, he sucks. The Raiders said "We want a late draft pick over keeping you". Rolando Mcclain also sucks because they didn't choose to keep him either. LOL sounds like that organization is just overall on a suckage.

To be fair, McClain kept retiring on them and is a headcase...............why do you think we didn't offer him anything more than a 1 year deal with very little guaranteed money?

We don't trust him either.

yeah, why would we want to compare the cowboys to a successful franchise, they've only won championships in the last 15 years, apparently you think that's NOT the goal of the cowboys!!

Patriots are also a passing team. While on the other hand we run the ball first then pass. They had six runningbacks. How many do we have? Mcfadden is a damaged goods. I doubt he'll last the entire season. Williams hasn't played since 2011. Randle is nothing more than a backup. Doubt he can run the ball even 15 times a game. Dumbar? Nope.

We need more than six runningbacks right now. We should have taken a flyer on a few during the draft. We should have traded for a bruiser. I heard the Rams were open for a trade for a runningback. But no. Jerry says anyone can run behind our oline.

Yes I'm concerned that about that position. Im concerned because the Cowboys FO are in denial thinking it isn't a problem. I believe it is. We can't last this season why the runningbacks we have now.

How do you know that any running back the cowboys could get stays healthy???? "take a flyer"...that's the logic Jerry used for fifteen years when drafting, taking flyers during the draft, how has that worked out???

the Rams!!!!.....they thought so highly of their running backs, they went and drafted one in the first round, and you think the Cowboys should trade for one of their backs which clearly they view as backups!!!! "Headshake"

Listen, your not getting what Im saying. We only have 4 runningbacks in our team. We are a running team. We are not a passing team. Two of our runningbacks have a propensity to get injured. McFadden has never stayed healthy during one year in his entire career. What makes you think he will stay healthy in Dallas? Same goes for Williams. He has never been able to remain healthy throughout his career.

So for a running team that have two runningbacks that can't stayed healthy their entire career and two other back that are merely backups says that we are not set our runningback.

If I were the Cowboys I would bring in more runningbacks to fight for the position. Why not? Everyone seems to think that anyone can run behind this oline. Thus why not sign anyone like someone from the Rams. Whats wrong with that?

You really seem to think we are good in the runningback dept. I don't think so. If McFadden gets injured like I believe might happen who is your backup? Randle? LOL give me a break.

Interesting list. More than anything, I'm concerned with short yardage. Being able to convert short yardage first downs consistently and control the clock felt pretty key to our improvement. Moreno seems capable of delivering the tough 'dirty' yards Garrett has been talking about...at least through September. Then Moreno goes to IR.

I think we're going to continue being patient. Might not see anything happen until camp. See how McFadden looks in preseason. See if Peterson shakes himself loose by being a distraction. I have a feeling Zimmer will have a short fuse for that stuff.

I'm interested in seeing what we've got in Randle. Some of his runs last year were intriguing. If not for his off-field dumbness, I feel like folks would feel a lot more positive about him. We're leaving ourselves flexibility to jump if an opportunity arises. It'll all work out.

Now Dunbar...at the very least, Chris Johnson seems like a giant step up from Dunbar. Dunbar is not a $1.5m per year player, which is what his contract is. That's more than half of what Johnson made with the Jets last year.

Moreno was really lighting it up in Miami before he went down.

Not sure why we didn't get Spiller when we had the chance...

Because our FO things anyone including their grandma can run behind this oline. Its a thought thats poisoning this team from actually getting some pretty decent runningbacks in on our team.
