I'm no Brady/Patriot fan, but this is WAY out of line...

You can tell that's photoshopped, because the noisemaker is fully inflated.

How is it out of line? Did he not gain a competitive advantage? Did he refuse to hand over his phone? Before you say it's not that big of a deal, then why do it and why take the extreme measures to change the psi after inspection? He also petitioned the league to allow road teams to use their own balls years ago. He's clearly been doing it for a lonh time. Maybe your right, it was out of line. Should have been much harsher.

I gotta admit, as much as I thin the Patriots deserved a punishment reflective of past incidents, I have to say the NFL came down way too hard. 4 games, 25% of the season, is a lot for something a lot of QBs do. Maybe the did 4 games knowing it would be reduced to 2, if so I guess it's not that big of a deal, but if the 4 holds, this is too much. Deflating footballs should not equal PED usage. And losing a first round pick and a 4th the next year is way too much as well. Fans would have been outraged by anything less than a first, but the punishment should have been less than a first. The fine is a non issue with me since NFL teams print their own money, but I think a cap penalty should have been considered over some of these other options

Well, that puts a new spin on things. So the NFL PA handed out the punishment? Is that common place?

Troy Vincent work for the NFL not for the NFLPA. AKA he wipes Goodell butt after Roger done taking a dump.

a lot of QBS do it? you have evidence of this? the love the patriots get is sickening even after resorting to cheating to win SBs.

I hope they reduce his suspension to 3 games so we can sack his a** a multitude of times until he is fraught with confusion. Cowboys will beat the Cheatriots to a pulp, with or without Brady.

I think Brady is guilty as hell, deserved something, maybe not a suspension, but I will not find fault with him for refusing to turn over his phone records. That is his business and the guarantee he got about them staying private is total BS in a world of deep pockets TMZ.

long time cheaters....

The fact is, if there is proof that Brady knew the balls were deflated, then there is almost no chance that Bellichik didn't know. Do you think Brady used fully inflated balls in practice? Hell no....he would have had them exactly like they would be in games. The fact that Bellichik got nothing is ridiculous.

Tom deserves this punishment. However,I really would like to see the Boys go up against the best. Romo and the Boys vs Brady and the Pats would would have been fun. As football fans we have all lost out.

Please don't tell me you are equating domestic violence with letting a little air out of footballs.

Considering the main function of the NFL and football is a sport, cheating is worse.. As far as the law, which found him not-guilty...

Can't really prove it - a better analysis would be players who left NE and how they fared in subsequent seasons. This could simply reflect that Beli has zero tolerance for fumbling players.

Sharper has already addressed that in his other posts...

In Ted Wells' speak....."it is more probable than not", it gets cut in half Actually I hope the Cowboys get to play Brady and his deflated footballs.

That isn't Ted Well's speak. That is OFFICIAL NFL speak that Goodell actually implemented during Spy-gate, changing from 'reasonable doubt' to protect the integrity of the game per his own summary. What this means is if the NFL uses it, it's guilty.

It actually hasn't been established that deflating the ball affects the game. Hasn't been established that the difference between 12.5 and 11 psi is meaningful.

It has been established that if you beat women, that you are a POS though.

They just did it after constantly being warned because it didn't 'affect the game'...
