That's the hilarious thing about trying to argue that Hardy is worse in the context of the NFL... Uh, NFL primary objective is not to deal with domestic violence, it is to field a game and ensure a level-playing field. If we are talking about the NFL and it's objective, what Brady did is a lot worse than what Hardy supposedly did...

Like I said, I could give a rat's butt if Brady plays or not. I care if the Patriots are cheating and cheating implicitly acknowledges that the people playing have legitimate fears that they aren't good enough to beat the other team. Their whole legacy is tarnished. People act as if Brady playing is not good for us. I want to see Brady play without all the cheating he's been involved in. I can only laugh at people saying, "yeah we don't get to play against Brady"... I want to play against that organization without all the crap they pull to see how 'great' their legacy is.

Spy-gate was way worse than it was ever made out to be and most people are actually ignorant of how deep it was and to what extent the allegations were and what Kraft and the league covered up. They are also ignorant of the ties that Kraft had to guys like Ted Kennedy, going back to well over forty years. This was the man that got involved when Spectre was coming after them. Stealing signals and knowing what plays a defense calls will make an average QB look phenomenal. As Steve Young said before, you've won the game if you know that.

Way out of line!!! do you not understand the integrity of the game is at stake, and with this teams previous record of breaking the rules and in this investigation, not cooperating with the league...lucky he only got four games...

There was way more to Spy-gate than just the video-tapes. Kraft and the Patriots media machine is huge. Even now, like they did in the past, they are directing attention to the fact that the punishment is 'huge', when in reality it is nothing but a slap on the wrist. I mean, the punishment itself doesn't even implicate Brady in reality. It only states that he wasn't being forthright with the investigation. Well, the Patriots are doing the same thing, not just Brady. And the guys that are suspended without pay indefinitely are the ball-boys. They are the only one's getting punished. The Wells reports was released right after the draft, when the Patriots already replaced the anchor of their defense, NT Wilfork. So they didn't get punished this year.

And what people also miss is that the Browns GM is essentially the same punishment that Brady got and Atlanta got docked a draft pick for pumping noise:

Kraft is essentially hand-in-hand with CBS, via his connections through Viacom. You ever wonder why the Patriots have been shoved in our faces on CBS for years ever since the late 1990s and early 2000, before they were ever that big. Well, Kraft is the reason...

And its why a 6th round pick can have the early success. Anybody that has open eyes can see that. Big advantage in the learning curve early on. W/o the cheating he may never have ever made it initially.

they didn't cover anything up there was plenty of video of what they did in spygate, a camera focused on the sideline coordinator for the play call, then time clock of down and distance and then the scheme setup on the field....the League doesn't need to show you to justify their punishment which was clear they did it

$1 million fine

Loss of 1st round pick in 2016

Loss of 4th round pick in 2017

No there wasn't. They looped ONE brief video after the whole issue had become a national fire-storm. This was an attempt to appease the crowd, but people who were aware of it, were also aware of all the flip-flopping by Goodell on what the videos allegedly contained. They also didn't address the other allegations, the media just pushing the video-taping of defensive signals.

There were other allegations that weren't spoken about, but Goodell 'implicitly' addressed in directives at the end of the season, such as random searches of coaches boxes during the games and their communication equipment, which pretty much refer to the accusations that the Patriots were sending signals to Brady after the 15 second cut-off period with their on equipment.

This allegation of wireless signals was even denied in a radio interview by Kraft's son and he gave some absurd excuse that the league does wireless transmissions. Yet, it didn't address the real allegation that the Patriots were operating on their own frequency.

And in fact, the year prior to Spygate, Casserly when he spoke of taping by the Patriots, he mentioned how a certain team was placing microphones on their defensive players to steal signals.

And Bellichek has utter disdain for Casserly BTA...

there is not much integrity of the game left with the way officials call games and goodell punishes on a whatever he feels like basis their vague rules and so much being left to the each official of how he sees the rule so many different ways to change a game to what they want.
