ESPN (Mort) Dez may skip opener with no deal ***MegaMerge***

How many fake stories about Dez can these idiots come up with? Last season crappaport was out there with the police visits story on a Sunday morning. Then they invented a video. Now they're postulating a hold out. Sports media is a minefield of clickbait, ignorance and sensationalism.

ADEZ loves the game and his teammates way too much to miss playing real football. Agents posturing=********
 
I doubt its true, just a negotiation tactic. If he actually sat out a game though, id be done being a fan of his. What effect would that have? None. But still.

It would go against everything i believe about his character and personality though so id be shocked if it happened.

The issue is decided July 15th. Nothing changes until March 2016 after that date(possible trade).

It would be different if Dallas never made an offer at all, but even 12.8m for the franchise tag is substantial.
 
Everybody getting mad at Dez like he hasn't earned his check or doesnt deserve to do what it takes to get his check; and yet here's Carr cashing 7th highest paid CB in league money
 
Yea cuz sitting out weeks of football that count would go such a long way to making the cowboys wanna give him a long term deal

He just played 2014 without a safety net for 2m. Now he can't play in 2015 for 12.8m. That is more than he has made his first 5 years.

And it is the 2nd highest salary for WRs.

If he doesn't like the rules he should talk to his union. Dallas is only doing what every single other team would do.

I don't believe that for a second. I do believe that Ed Werder is his source, and Ed is just making crap up.
 
I think this is just a Hail Mary tactic to try to pressure the Cowboys into getting a deal done before the July 15 deadline. He really has very little leverage so you threaten to sit out even though that seems pointless. All he would be doing is costing himself money. Not like he can get a long term deal after July 15 anyway. However if no long term deal is reached, I wouldn't be surprised if Dez doesn't show up until the week the season starts. He wouldn't lose any money that way and no damage is really done.

I hope they can reach a long term deal though. Dez has earned it. It has to be a fair deal for both sides but getting him locked up would be a good thing for this franchise.
 
Dez wont be making 800K anywhere else on Sept 13.

Let him sit...can't play with out being top paid WR...then don't play.
