It's not that different than how Irvin caught the ball. Irvin said that some WRs try too hard to make everything a "hands only" catch. He said that Miles Austin had issues because he needed to sometimes "body catch" but wouldn't do it.

Terry Glenn had the exact same issue.......FWIW.

Brandon L, and edelman whoever is 10x better than Williams (gronk is the number 1).

Hakeem at the time was better than Williams playing next to Cruz.

Colston is way better than Williams being number 2 behind Jimmy.

Cobb is 10x better than Williams.

Mike wallace is 10x better than Williams.

Seahawks have Wilson, a guy who can run around all day, so you don't need superior wr's. They also had the best D.

Wayne is way better than Williams.

Boldin is better than Williams.

Ect ect....

A good number 2 really helps. Williams is not that.

First off, I don't give two ***** about what other fans think; and to be honest, you're a prime example why I care very little about what fans of our very own team think as well. I only care about fans that actually post insightful thoughts, post facts, not what they get from their agenda and crap they spew that is influenced by bias.

I have never "talked crazy" about Williams, have never exaggerated what he is. YOU are the one exaggerating, he's a "bum"? You have yet to back this up and have had multiple posters countering what you're saying, but you just won't give it up.

Either let it go or actually bring up something insightful. It's becoming your obsession at this point.

As a WR heading into his 3rd season I expect more out of Williams. I don't think he has been a poor player for the Cowboys. He has shown he can make the pressure plays at critical moments. My hope for him is he is more consistent week to week

As usual, the truth about Williams lies somewhere in between the extremes being posted here about him.

He isn't a bad player but he isn't a stud 2WR either. He is improving but will probably always body catch a good portion of the time. Dez is such a great, natural catcher and has such phenomenal hands, that probably any 2WR Dallas brings in will suffer by comparison.

Williams does have some good traits though. He is pretty good after the catch and is fairly explosive. The biggest thing he has going for him is that the game is really important to him and he works very hard to get better. That is going to take him a long way in the eyes of the coaches.

Yeah, Dallas could probably find better, and may already have with Street... but Williams is still on his rookie deal, so he's young and he's cheap right now. The Cowboys may not give him a second contract but for now, there are many reasons the team will likely roll with him opposite Dez.
