ESPN Sports Special tonight at 6pm CST

The Cowboys are really asking for it with Weeden. They saw last year that he is basically unusable and made no effort to get a 2nd QB in here.

I'm really hoping we are looking hard at this. I really don't want to rely on him in a game this year like that game against the Cards. He was downright awful in that game. A very winnable game at that. I don't know who is available now and I'm sure there will be some cuts between now and the 1st game but Stephen, McClay and company really need to look at this. We don't even need an all world backup but just someone who knows what they are doing and sure of themselves and Weeden is neither of those.

Watching Weeden second guess himself and throw the ball late was painful. The coaches are saying he's improved a lot but that sure looks like the same Weeden from last year.

What is weird is I think Weeden looked better in Cleveland. He still sucked but not this bad. I would have thought that the better supporting cast would have made things so much easier.

I absolutely loved this. Would be nice for a split view of both fields would be my only real complaint about the coverage. Kenny can go, but Chucky and Woody were fine. Bottom line for me is the more Cowboys football I have access to the better. If they had a Cowboys practice channel I would watch every episode. Thanks for the heads up on this special or I would have completely missed it.

I recall one time they had a split view for a few seconds. Also there could have been things happening on the other field they were not permitted to broadcast.

Anyone hear Woody say that our 4th round pick Damien Wilson stands out when watching practice film from the last few days?

Exciting stuff there if we found a stud LB.

Yeah, I think Wilson is the real deal. I read somewhere the other day (I can't remember where), that Wilson would have made nearly every tackle at Minn if he wouldn't have been held constantly.

I can't wait to watch this kid. I have been excited about him since the day we drafted him.

After watching this I'm beginning to think that Hitch might need to be the starting MLB. I'm a big fan of RoClain and think he brings a physical mentality to our defense, but man Hitch looked good IMO.

Must have been a Broadus article because he says it all the time.

If you missed this, you can catch the NFL network version of it tonight with Marriucci and Gil Brandt.

4th round gems at LB 2 years in a row.

Good stuff. Although I really appreciate the official Cowboys site coverage with Broaddus and company, I always wondered why the Dallascowboys.com site films the practices from field level instead of a little higher up to get a better overall view of the action. Especially for fans that are not accustomed to seeing it from an on-the-field perspective.
