Callahan was treated like garbage two years ago, still did his job the next year quietly including bringing it Martin and let Murray and Garrett get all the credit. Garrett doesn't have a clue about OL play and running schemes.

And the Commanders RBs, one of them a rookie, are killing it and their line is playing great. And their head coach Gruden was on the path to Garretr ineptness last year to this.

Big Bill Calahan brought in a young Travis Frederick an Martin and like you said Garrett got all the credit.

Wonder if Jerry is having second thoughts now....

Leary was under his first year watch as well, as an Undrafted free agent in 2012. You can tell he must have started making an impact in the organization if it was to the point Jerry was going to have him call plays and effectively be OC the very next year in 2013, but as we all know by now, Garrett kept interfering and at least got a guy in Linehan that kept the same offensive system.

I'm beginning to think more and more, Garrett was threatened by the influence of Callahan in the organization.

I think Randle has effectively benched himself. Between that absolute boneheaded play and then being indignant about it afterwards, the idiot side of him has shown its' ugly head once again and I'm convinced that there will be consequences.

Unfortunately, I think that this shell-shocked coaching staff will try to 'fix' things by starting McFadden instead of anything else. And as anyone watching can see, he's obviously no sort of an answer either.

Seems to me that the staff should boldly have shot Jerry down when he decided McFadden was the answer to our RB situation. Instead, they evidently elected to play it safe and coddle him by going along with it. Same deal with Weeden. Leaving Jerry to decide upon matters of talent evaluation is much like allowing a young kid to play with matches.

4 games in and it's safe to say that DMC isn't going to be a savior.

I'd like to see more CM.

I still get a good laugh from the sheep who said he'd be worth anything this year. Try watching football outside of the Cowboys and yous know that the guy is worthless.

But hey he had that 1000 yard season 5 years ago.... he must still have it right?

It's clear this staff that the OL could block for anybody.

The main problem is, the staff thought not so much that Murray was replaceable, but Callahan was replaceable...

It looks like that was the one trade off for Jerry staying out of the way the rest of the time.

I have only seen 1 Commander game, week 2, and they looked good running, but then next week got beat bad, now they beat philly, going on long drives
the top was 41 min to 18 over philly !
so I might try to watch the eagle game, and see how they run.
I know on some plays it looked like dallas last year.

Callahan is a bigger loss than I think many of us realized.

And 4 games is a small sample but the RBBC approach looks like a total failure. It might be time to just give Michael more snaps and see if he can settle in as a full time starter.

LOL -- they'd better be careful. That sort of thing can have dire consequences more often than not.

They got beat bad a couple weeks ago because Cousins was awful. They aren't going to win airing it out and it's obviously going to depend as the season goes along, because QB play is what takes you to the promised land... If they go down early, they will obviously have to push the pace..

But they are dominating TOP and if Cousins can play above average, they got a clear shot at the NFC East title...

Jerry listened to Garrett when it came to burning the bridges of Callahan, the architect of our run game... Every good decision Jerry made revolved around taking influence away from Garrett..

I'm not buying it. Callahan don't block. They need to get there act together. What, they forgot everything they've learned in one year....please.

I'd like to know why the Steelrs can lose their franchise QB but yet they can still run the ball. I'm not buying the excuse of 8 men in the box. I know the Steelers are seeing a loaded box too and they are still having sucess running it.

Let's face it, Romo, Murray and Dez made this line look good.

That's a very good point. I'd also rather have Vick than Weeden. I think leveon bell is just so good he makes a lot of his own yards, he's an amazing talent

It appears that too much faith was placed on the Oline. I noticed Smith get beat as well as Fred Beard having another tough game. Leary still looks hurt too.

I thought the sack Smith allowed was all on Weeden for not stepping up.

I didn't notice Fred Beard one way or another.

My unscientific analysis of Free is he looks like he is done. He can't bend at all anymore and seems to have lost much of power.

should of drafted a running back.

So he could be stuff at the line, and in the back field, by 8 man fronts?

Then we'd have a drafted running back that everyone would be bashing because we wasted a pick on him.

It's hard to run the ball when no one is really afraid that you're going to pass the ball more than 10 yards.

If Weeden played more drives, the way he did his last drive last night, and took more shots down the field to keep the defense honest I believe this running game would be really good. As they showed in the first half against Atlanta and they showed flashes of last night.

They ran for over a hundred yards last night with the defense not being too afraid of our passing game. I do think that makes a huge difference.

SAFER TO SAY - CALLAHAN is the most missed piece from 2014. No RB can run for 800 yds behind this worthless OL.......

Yea even Collinsworth said that was on Weeden.

I think Leary is still hurt, there were a few lays he got pushed back because it looked like he couldn't really plant his legs and hold his position.

Free was bad. Martin was OK. Frederick looked OK.
