so why did he get killed on first take for all of these comments?

He's getting attacked for using the term " I'm gonna come out guns blazing". They are saying its insensitive because of his recent incident. They said they are ashamed and embarrassed.

Herm ended with this quote " what we do in the dark will always come to light"

Comments about Brady's wife for starters. Way to keep it classy Hardy, and people wonder why so many people despise us. I don't care what he does for this team, I wish no one signed him. He has shown zero remorse for what he has done. Instead of dodging questions with sarcastic remarks he should just man up, admit his mistakes and play football. He would be much easier to like IMO.

And what has he done, since you were there that night.

Is this the same First Take show where they let Stephen A "you don't want to make an enemy out of me" Smith basically threaten Kevin Durant? The outrage and hypocrisy is the reason why, except for games, I don't watch ESPN anymore, even when Woody is on.

Love how the media is having a field day with the "guns blazing" comment. The PC police are out in full force. That term has been used for eons. What he said has absolutely nothing to do with this "hot button" issue.

It's literally getting to the point where you can't say anything without being chastised or punished. They (media) are looking for anything to pin on this guy. Ridiculous!!!

Yeah this faux outrage society we live in is too funny at times. Its just silly to take comments like that and war out of context IMO. You know what he meant so why go there unless you're trying to be a trouble maker?

A lot of people say things about people's wives and saying he hopes she's there isn't really even bad. You act like he said something sexual. If somebody said that about a girl I was dating/wife I wouldn't care and would actually get a laugh out of it. Its better than your wife being unattractive to others lol. I also don't get why people like you want people to beg you for forgiveness and walk with their head down for life. He thinks he didn't do anything wrong so why would he be remorseful. I know you can say he was convicted originally but after everything was over nothing. I think people like you should get over yourself because who cares if you like him? I'm pretty sure you'd feel the same way if I said I don't like you. I don't dislike you by the way. That's just an example.

Yeah people are too funny in their rush to out outrage the next person acting as if they themselves are perfect.

The way ESPN is covering his comments all day .. it seems NE will be coming to humiliate him (and his team) in the worst way (remember the steeler player few years back who they targeted right from first snap?)

Not that I don't like such headline comments (i even love such attitude)... but when your team is crippled with injuries and the main main main playmakers are out and you are facing the fully healthy coming-out-of-bye-week SB champs I don't think it is wise to say such thing about the wife and her sisters/freinds ..

I thought this game was a loss anyway since TR/DB were out .. but now, this could get really ugly .. (remember the bears shutout back in the 80s in Dallas? yeah...that kind of ugly)

Give me a break, if it weren't for the ridiculous laws in Carolina he would be in jail right now. If you truly believe he's innocent I have ocean front property for sale in Arizona. Even if he was innocent, is that the kind of statement he should be making under the circumstances? As I said, I don't care what he does for this team I'm sick of these types of players and their attitudes.

So, you have nothing that points to him being guilty of what he was accused of doing? Okay, thank you.

Really, c'mon bud! A lot of "people" say things about peoples wives, not athletes during interviews talking about another players wife and sister. Not athletes after they have been accused of domestic violence, whether innocent or not. This guy is clueless and/or just arrogant and I dislike both.

I never said he should beg for forgiveness or hold his head down. I just want him to shut up and make plays, it's not that hard. It's almost as if he is purposely antagonizing the NFL and media but I think he's too stupid to be doing that, he's just ignorant.

I'm glad very few people can defend his "innocence" by ignoring the circumstances and facts of the case but I don't find his remarks the slightest bit funny or entertaining regardless if he's innocent. He's a liability and he's not the type of person I want representing a team that I've loved and supported (although harshly at times) for decades. JJ needs to pull his head out and stop supporting this nonsense.

I'm not going over the entire case with you. If you're familiar with it, which I doubt you are, than I would want you on my jury anyday. Again, even if he's innocent, he's a moron an I find it despicable that he makes remarks like that during a public interview. Hey, if all you're about are W's and not what type of human being represents this team than I can see why you have no problems with Hardy.

I seriously doubt Witten enjoyed those remarks as well.

I doubt Witten even cares. You know, he's preparing for a game.

But you're not adding anything here. You either have something we don't know or you don't. Moving on.

He was never going to be in jail, let alone 16mos later. He was given probation on a misdemeanor count and that was before he allowed to defend himself according to the Constitution.

But please continue with your hyperbole.

Sure bud. So not I'm the only one that knows something which is why the Panthers released one of their best players, only one other team was mildly interested in him, he didn't appeal his own suspension and he decided to reach a "settlement" with the accuser.

Anyways, are you going to continue to ignore my question? Whether innocent or not, do you think it's appropriate for him to be making comments like that? Is that someone you want representing this team? If your answer to both questions is yes than don't bother replying because I don't want to waste any more time arguing with someone who supports that. Sooooooo moving on...

True, most likely he would have been in jail.

Wow you sure are immune to facts.

He was never released. He won his appeal. He never settled his case, the charges were dropped.
