I think Eli is currently on pace to have the best season of his career.

When Eli is able to get the ball out quickly, he does well. But the Giants have been stymied by any halfway decent defense.

I guess I just imagined all those calls for Garrett to be fired his first year, then.

The people who want Garrett fired will latch on to any reason to fire him.

I dont remember many asking for Garret to be fired his first year. I know there were fans who didnt want him to be hired at all since he was asst. HC during the time the team quit, people keep saying the defense quit but so did the offense.

I think that statement is maybe a shot across the bow of JG's ship.

If the season ends at 7-9 8-8 I expect jerry to say the opposite. That it was a great job to even get that far with the injuries.

But Jimmy would be a valid comparison?

1st year coaching the team versus 5th full year coaching the team?

Never said it was a valid comparison. Each situation is unique. That was more of a commentary on the insanity of Rundmc's posts.

this definitely takes Garrett out of conversation as one of better HC in league. After last season I really felt Garrett and team turned corner but it turns out that it was Murray, Romo, OL were playing lights out. Plus defense played above their talent level. But 5 straight losses puts Garrett squarely in middle of pack. I said it weeks ago and feel just as strong about it but Dooley has been exposed in major way for lack of development for any of WR. Plus the WR being drafted (outside of Dez) have wrong pedigree and are not fast and don't have great hands. Even if Romo comes in to save their rear ends - Dallas still needs to upgrade WR, RB and WR coach after season.

Wake up dude. It's because he's incompetent. Look at this losing streak.

No in game adjustments. No adjustments to the vanilla scheme. No pick plays. No slants. Very few drag routes.

You're asking #2, 3, and 4 receivers to beat their man consistently.

Do you honestly expect fans to just accept that? To accept that kind of pathetic coaching?

It's clear as day we won in spite of Garrett last year. We had one winning season and now he gets a pass for this year, it's ridiculous. To not when win freaking game when every team we've faced other than Atlanta and New England is .500 or lower is pathetic.

Are the train tracks really that close to the beach?

Yes sir - I was just on that train a month ago. It's called the Pacific Coast Sunliner and it runs down the California coast. I took it from LA to San Diego and it's awesome. Perfect 70 degree weather virtually every single day and incredible scenery. The Cowboys take it from camp to San Diego for their pre season game every year.

Stop off at Solano Beach and hit the Del Mar horse track for a day. You'll never forget it.

Of course it's unacceptable. But then again that's what happens when you don't address the backup QB position, the RB position, and think that going into the season with Weeden was a legitimate option and thought that we could rely on Randle as our lead back.

Let's not fail to forget that this is the HC that Jerruh wanted and that we let Callahan walk to a division rival. All those things add up.

Especially when we had at least 3 of those games won and he instead coached us to defeat due to lack of adjustments and not playing to win.

I still can't get over the Atlanta game and the boneheaded calls that gave them life right before halftime just like in the Green Bay game.

It's completely unacceptable.

So you would have fired Jimmy in 1989?

You don't have to answer. I know you would. You're far too impulsive.
For the love of God I hope you're not trying to put Jimmy and Garrett in the same league because if so that's a compete insult to Jimmy.

Is 0-7 without Romo acceptable? No one of significance is getting fired over this so obviously it is acceptable. Prove me wrong, Stephen.
Perfectly said. And while they're at it they can start firing themselves also for their complete ineptitude.

They aren't getting rid of Garrett, and we aren't losing these games because of the coaching of all things.

The Garrett hate is strong as ever right now. We've got a gaggle of folks in another thread fantasizing that he's coaching for his job Sunday night. LOL

He is not coaching for his job but he should be. His job is nowhere close to being in jeopardy because Jerry would rather lose and feel "comfortable" than hire a real coach!!!

Who knows...Breaking out my Dan Brown code book I saw the words..."unacceptable"..."We feel like we should be doing better than what we're doing,"..."I think we're a better team than that,"...and ""But as Bill Parcells used to say, around here you are what you are and we're 2-5 and we accept that and we're accountable to it.".

Negative connotations about our current status and a mention of another (HOF) coach...Lets see...Times 3, carry the 1 and divide by 2. He was obviously basing any fans that have anything bad to say about our current future HOF coach JG! His secret message was YAY GARRET!, keep it up bro!
