Didn't say it was a success. But it's not a reason to fire someone either.Wow is that how far we've fallen? Being in playoff contention is considered a success

Lovie Smith's Bears never quit on him. The players praised him until the day they finally slammed the door in his face.
To some yes. As long as JG is the HC that's enough for them.
Except we haven't finished 8-8 every year.
The implication that those who don't think we should fire Garrett are putting Garrett ahead of the team is completely false.
last year doesnt count, freak occurence!
2010 was actually 4-4 not 5-3, which is .500 philly didnt play their starters so we won that 14-13, other wise it would be a loss.
2014 was luck (playing afcs , we won all 4) take those away and were.....8-8 and riding murray and the run game and romo.
This year no murray, no romo, and no afcs!
But we have JG !!
This situation is clearly different than the last two, when the team quit on Switzer and Wade. That hasn't been the situation here. Plus we have an MVP Caliber player out for the entirety of this 5 game skid.
Jerry didn't fire Jimmy after losing five in a row twice in a season.
You've been uncharacteristically sassy lately. That, as much as anything else, tells me how the season is going.
As I've said before, you can't fire Garrett now; it's too late in Romo's career. I'm simply pointing out the historical poignance of losing five in a row.
Jimmy lost five in a row twice in 1989. He wasn't losing five in a row in his fourth year.
Starting with a terrible off season.
What has Garrett shown that he couldn't be fired and the team prosper? Romo wouldn't miss a beat and would more than likely be better for it.
You're going to up and put Romo in a new system at the age of 36?
Nuh-uh.
Romo has shown he can win in this system.

So you would have fired Jimmy in 1989?
You don't have to answer. I know you would. You're far too impulsive.
Lmao Are you serious? It makes a huge difference if a coach is in his first or fifth year.
To add they did it with both Mannings.
Eli is younger and does not have the wear and tear of Romo. Also, the jury is still out on whether or not putting Eli in a new system will be successful.
Peyton is the GOAT.
