I trust the a Dallas FO and if he is the best player according to their assessment, go ahead and draft him. We need players on Defense and expecially in the secondary. Then take a dynamic 1-Technique in the 2nd or third round and I would be happy. Defense gives you a chance to win Championships.

Mo cant play so that wouldnt be hard. My point is at number four in the draft I'd like 6 turnovers a year for a safety or shutdown corner. I dont think Ramsey will provide that. Thats what I am talking about as a difference maker.

We kill Mo but he was the consensus best defensive player in the draft that year. Turnovers are more about being at the right place at the right time. He can tackle really well and I did not see anybody really go after him in the three years he was at Florida State. To be honest I think he will drafted 3rd anyway. Who do you want to draft?

This is frightening news if true.

In the event it is accurate, it goes to show you exactly how broken this franchise is.

No DB unless they are Deion Sanders-level elite, has any business being at the top of any team's board.

Are you forgetting that they drafted one Deion clone when they drafted Mo?

Huh?

We have a horrendous secondary.

Ramsey... who just so happens to be a defensive back... may grade out as our top prospect.

This is not a hard concept.

So, the horrendous secondary takes zero regard for what the player does, we are just collecting by position?

Explain exactly how Ramsey would fit in Marinelli's scheme.

I'll wait.

Honestly, picking Ramsey has been written in stone since the owner and head coach openly complained over the lack of turnovers.

Of course, our team thinks the best way to get more turnovers is to draft a guy who didn't get many turnovers.

To be fair, that was drafting the Deion clone for Rob Ryan, Mister "I am only here for the corners".

The intelligent move would be to draft Romo's successor but we all know that wont happen "cuz Tony is bulletproof" am I right?

No, some of us recognize the playing field.

Is Rod Marinelli going to use this "dynamic" player like say, the Honey Badger is used in Arizona?

Get out of town with that nonsense.

This is not just "BPA".

It is "best player for this team and what they will be asked to do".

Moving goalposts.

All in one thread.

By your own standard we shouldn't take the QB you covet because "this team won't use him right."

Go sit in the corner.

Ugh. More proof this front office doesn't understand how to build a defense. You start up front and move back, not the other way around.

On another note, Risen is going to stroke when he sees this....

I am with you but I can't see them drafting Wentz or Goff. I don't even think Jerry would have drafted Andrew Luck in 2012 because it would have hurt Toney's feelings.

They all are projects man. He started three years on one of the most talented teams in the country. He did not go to Connecticut he went to Florida St. Who would you draft over him?

Easy. A player I don't have to think about what I would do with him.

We have the 4th pick in this draft.

The fourth best player (for us) in this draft should be pretty much a sure thing.

I prefer a QB, Goff or Wentz would suffice should they get the franchise grade.

I do that because I value the future at the position and how it is so crucial.

If I lose my perspective, I look for the "impact" player which seems to be what everyone thinks we just have to have.

That said, I would take Bosa, Elliott and Treadwell over him. I want the player there that gives me the fit. Not the need.

If I have questions about what the player will do, I don't care how "talented" he is, it is pointless to try to be flexible. Not in the top five.

It should not be a source of debate.

You have the pick of the litter. There should not be a doubt about what they will do.

Dallas is not going to draft a QB with that 4th pick in the draft to sit on the bench, command a pemium starters salary and potentially not help the team at all on the field in 2016! You already know that so let's digress! Defense is the rule of out draft day in 2016. :)

Jerry confuses "I expect him to play at a high level for years" with "I have to pay him for years". Injuries aside, I saw Romo play about two quarters of good football last year, the rest of the quarters not so much.

I would not complain with your picks. I think Elliot would be the best running back in football statistically like Murray if we drafted him.

No, my own standard is I am not taking a DB in a draft without knowing what they will do, much less have to decide how on earth they fit in our scheme.

A franchise QB that your own staff has deemed a fit is far more valuable, even if they sit.

I asked simply, what is he going to do in Marinelli's scheme? You don't answer, mainly because you are incapable.

Take your own advice.

It is almost like we have a Lawrence Taylor, Ed Reed, Demarcus Ware or Darrelle Revis to choose from out of this draft class at pick number four.

Well how about that.

We have a need at CB
But if you want great cb's then get a pass rush. When you don't have a pass rush no CB is going to be great. And if you have a great pass rush avg cb's will shine
That said, I think QB is the smart move at 4
I know some say jerry won't but remember he did want to take a QB last year and was thankfully talked out of it so don't get why people think he is opposed to taking a QB

This has our Scouts written all over it! They love them some corners.

Mo was suppose to be better than Peterson remember? And while he was rated as the top defensive player that year, he did fall to 6 remember? Everybody was like, I can't believe he's falling and then Jerry swooped in. Maybe it was that wonderlic score? Who knows!

I do know this, our scouts suck generally after the 1st round.
