Funny how people around talk w such conviction about how far along in the process this team or any other team in the league is...nobody has a clue if there is a board together or not...so stop pretending like you know something...

Ramsey is a top 3 player on many Internet scouts boards...so it's not that far fetched whatsoever...doesn't mean it's true either

I wouldn't get worked up about this.

1) I highly doubt our draft board is accessible to twitter scouts and 2) If it is, then that ranking is subject to change and will change before the teams start picking.

We're over two months away from the draft. There are no set draft boards right now.

And if you are going off that 10-20%, you better be prepared to explain how a drill in shirt and shorts that they train for all offseason should matter.

Honestly, if I run a team and some scout says the Combine makes a huge difference in their grade, I laugh in their face.

Then fire them.

The Combine results should be viewed as reasons to revisit, not revise, evaluations.

Thats a bunch of bull. Of course the combine drills have meaning and so do the pro days. If it didn't then teams wouldn't bother to send every scout to them.

The bigger draft guys go off their evaluations AND feedback they are getting from their league contacts. Mayock, Kiper, McShay, even Matt Miller have direct access to GM's. Those guys aren't giving away trade secrets but they will discuss generalities.

I met a Cowboys coach last weekend at a clinic. They (coaches) are barely into draft evaluations. He said outside of the Senior Bowl guys, they haven't seen a lot of the big name prospects. It's all scouts right now, they travel from campus to campus and then go onto the "lab" and put together their reports and then lists. It would not shock me at all if the Cowboys scouts have Ramsey #1 and the coaches simply haven't weighed in yet.

Having said that, I've followed the draft like my religion since Jimmy coached here. I've never seen anyone half as talented as Carson Wentz.

Every time I watch that guy play he makes me laugh at Roger Staubach.

I haven't been lurking as much, so I must've missed it.......seems you hate the guy, what gives? lol

Wouldn't be too suprised if he was the pick a
@ 4. I think dallas goes defense with the first 3 picks.

Dallas is not going to draft a QB with that 4th pick in the draft to sit on the bench, command a pemium starters salary and potentially not help the team at all on the field in 2016! You already know that so let's digress! Defense is the rule of out draft day in 2016. :)

Then Dallas will waste the careers of Dez, four very good olinemen and many more players over the next several years. Add the fact that Dallas probably won't be picking in the top five for a while, it will require multiple years of top picks to trade up and find a QB and they should be able to see that not picking a QB at 4 is totally giving away the future of the team in more ways than one. If the scouts have one of the QBs as a top prospect this year, it would beyond foolish to pass him up. Very few rookies have any impact anyway, so drafting a QB is not going to doom the immediate chances the team has for success in the next year or two . There is not one player in this draft that can get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl next season. There seems to be players that can solidify the most important position on the field in this draft for the next 10-12 seasons though. With that being said, I don't trust the GM to make the right decision anyway.

Is this team really going to draft two corners in a row that can't actually play corner? Are the Cowboys really this dumb?

Hope they take him, if just to listen to the miserable whining about the soiled reasoning why the Couch Scouts look so precious but don't ever speak of the last years blind rants about nothingness.

This has our Scouts written all over it! They love them some corners.

Mo was suppose to be better than Peterson remember? And while he was rated as the top defensive player that year, he did fall to 6 remember? Everybody was like, I can't believe he's falling and then Jerry swooped in. Maybe it was that wonderlic score? Who knows!

I do know this, our scouts suck generally after the 1st round.

Spoilers: They're not good in the 1st either.

I hate DB's if i could I'd play a 4-6 defense. So much hype with these guys and they never pan out. raft Ramsey and you get Antrell Roole.

Antrel Rolle wasn't even a particularly good player, so I'm not sure why anyone would want a repeat of him.

This is frightening news if true.

In the event it is accurate, it goes to show you exactly how broken this franchise is.

No DB unless they are Deion Sanders-level elite, has any business being at the top of any team's board.
Nobody is saying he is not good.

But when you have a player that has done multiple things for a college program, both with a limited sample size, yet there is not a consistent body of work to evaluate from, how on earth can you say they are the best player?

What you are basically doing is acting like a college program rating the nation's best HS player as an "athlete".

This is the NFL, there is not a lot of time to figure out what the player does best. I would hope there is some idea about his prospects.

He is about as much of a projection player as Myles Jack.
Who is it you want at #4?

If it's up to Mr. We Can't Win Because We Don't Get Turnovers, I'm sure they will pick a DB.

Tony Pauline is a Jet fan turned pro draftnik. He doesn't have any contacts with the Cowboys, and I seriously doubt that anyone is leaking information about who is at the top of their rankings.

Before the Combine, where they would have their first chance at interviewing him.

Before his Pro Day.

More nonsense to generate clicks.
